Annabelle Mary Dunlap was born in Helena Montana on May 18, 1931. She grew up in Lincoln and lived an ideal childhood with her father, Irvin Dunlap, her mother Annie Sloan Dunlap, and brother Irvin Junior(Bud). Annabelle was proud to have been raised in the log home built by her grandparents, Thomas and Mary Sloan of Scotland. To this day the cabin draws her family together so each member can experience the beauty, peace and heritage provided by the homestead. Annabelle married Luther Glenn on March 24th, 1951. Their marriage was based on the love of family and friends. They treasured their daughters Janet, Connie, Carolyn and Julie; raising a very close family that grew with the addition of son-in-law’s, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Annabelle was a bright beautiful woman of many talents. She worked as a secretary for many years, was a “Master” bridge player, an avid reader, a natural gardener, an excellent hostess and cook, and wonderful seamstress. Annabelle cherished her special groups which brought fulfillment and lifelong friendships. They included her St. John’s Lutheran church Circle women’s group, her book study group, and sewing and stitching club. Ann also sang in the choir at St. John’s where the family has been a member for 65 years. Annabelle enjoyed restoring her family’s furniture from Scotland and it still exists in her home today. She even helped write a history book of the Lincoln Valley called Gold Pans And Single Trees. As busy as Annabelle was, there was not one child, son-in-law, grandchild, great-grandchild, or friend that she didn’t cherish. After a prolonged battle with autoimmune disorder our beloved mother, Nanny, and friend, passed away in her sleep on September 12, 2016 at The Legacy assisted living home. She was so thankful for the love and support of many friends and family.
Annabelle is proceeded in death by her parents, and husband Luther Glenn.
Ann has one surviving brother, Irvin Dunlap of Helena, and four daughters: Janet Lieberg (Dan) of Helena; Connie Ford (Pat) of Helena; Carolyn Richards of Great Falls; Julie Rogers (Guy) of Billings; Grandchildren: Erika Gibbs (Chris) of Vancouver WA; Amber Winkler (Jason) of Kalispell; Brigit Lieberg of Helena; Erin Nolte (Boone) of Belgrade; Britani Blair (Pete) of Kalispell; Nick Richards of Bozeman; Kyle Rogers of Salt Lake City; Seth Rogers of Missoula; Amy Rogers of Billings and numerous nieces and nephews.
Annabelle has been blessed with 10 beautiful great grandchildren: Soren, Blake, Jayden, Gracie, Brycen, Hailey, Siri, Tucker, Trenton, and Sloan.
The family extends their sincere thank you to the wonderful angels that provided tender loving care from The Legacy assisted living facility, including Monica, Paula, Sarah, Cindy, Pam, Tiffany, Cheryl, Cindy, Lexi, Rachael, Colleen, Debbie, and Staci. They are also thankful for the excellent care provided by Frontier hospice and health care, including Melissa, Mandi, Angela, and Paul. Also a special thanks to Pastor Brad for his love and spiritual support.
Peace and love to you always Mom, until we are united again.

Your Mom always had a smile for everyone. She had a soft speaking voice that always had praise for you and others. She will be missed but now she can be with her husband Luther or (Lute) as we called him. My Prayers for the family.

Ann was such a beautiful lady and person. She was so blessed to have those four daughters and so were they to have such a mom. They all took such good care of each other. It was a privilege to have known her all these years and keeping track of how she was doing and the occasional visits. Our prayers are with all the Glenn families and especially Janet, Connie, Carolyn and Julie. Your longtime friends, Tom and Debbie Erving

Dear Glenn Family,
Ken and I enjoyed singing in church choir with Ann years ago. I still smile when I remember that she and I got a horrible case of the giggles during a Good Friday service, which is most solemn, but it seemed like everything under the sun went wrong. She was a classy lady and we were blessed knowing her. Our condolences to all of you.

I am saddened to learn Annabelle passed away and I send my deepest sympathy to her extended family. My grandfather, Robert Sloan, and Annabelle’s mother, Annie Sloan Dunlap, were siblings. I, too, cherish memories of the homes and family history at Lincoln.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I too have lost family members and know this can be one of the most difficult things to go through. I just wanted to leave you with a scripture that has helped me and let you know your family will be in my prayers. The scripture is Acts 24:15 and it talks about a hope of a resurrection when we could see our loved ones again.
