Debra “Debbie” Lynn Barrett
On the afternoon of July 8th, 2017, Debbie passed away at St. Peter’s Hospital in Helena, MT after a 2-month battle with cancer. Debbie was born in the town of Rahway, NJ on November 15th, 1960. She was the 3rd child of her parents Robert and Madeline Schunck.
After living in Florida and Texas, Debbie came to Montana in 1995 and quickly fell in love with the community and the scenic views of the area. Later, she became a member of the Wolf Creek Baptist Church and found the love of the Lord. Debbie was known for her warm hugs, her contagious smile, and her amazing omelettes. She enjoyed Montana’s beauty, serving the community, and helping all in need.
Debbie is survived by her husband David “Doug” Barrett, her daughter Jessie Arnett, her siblings John Schunck, Linda Boyce, and Wendy Castillo, and her black lab Molly.
Her graveside service will be held today, July 12th at 10 AM at Craig Cemetery in Craig, MT with Pastor Chuck Sanderson officiating. She touched many lives and will forever be missed. Please visit www.aswfuneralhome.com to offer a condolence to the family or to share a memory of Debbie.

There are no perfect word’s for how my life has been touched by my friendship with Debbie. From the very first moment I knew her….I just loved her. Kind, loving,caring,never ever a mean word ever came from her . I will always feel so blessed and fortunate to have had her as a friend. My life is so rich because of her!!! Much love to her family…
