Deborah “Debbie” Lynn Kidwell passed away on Jan 15, 2016 in Helena, Montana after a long hard fought battle with Spino Cerebellum Ataxia. Debbie was born on Aug 17, 1972 in Vincennes, Indiana to Robert and Emma (Jackson) Kidwell. Debbie attended school in Indiana until age 9 when she moved to Florida. Debbie was a free spirit and did things her way. She lived her life in the fast lane and made no excuses for it. In her late teens early twenties she traveled across the United States making a good living as a dancer which she was happy to tell people about in her later years. Debbie had many adventures during this time, many with her younger brother Doug along for the ride; Oh the stories he could tell.
Debbie’s greatest joy in life was her three children. She loved her kids more than anything and even though she couldn’t be with them as her disease progressed they were never far from her heart. Debbie will be mostly remembered for her generosity and that big, beautiful smile. Debbie enjoyed listening to her favorite songs by Kenny Chesney, Brad Paisley, Journey and a wide variety of others. On any given Sunday you could find Deb watching her beloved Packers play football; especially fond of Aaron Rogers, she said he was a hottie!
Debbie has a turbulent upbringing and nothing came easy for her but she never gave up. We can be angry, say that life isnt fair; Why me? or curse the universe Or we can give thanks for what is good in our lives, what matters most our family, children and friends. Debbie chose to be happy and made the people around her happy as well.
Debbie was preceded in death by her Mother, Emma Kidwell. Debbie will be greatly missed by her surviving family members; children Justin Tolliver, Katlyn Taggart, and Brandon Roberts; siblings Duke (Michelle) Kidwell; Ellen (Max) Eskildsen; Beth (Terry) Rozar; and Doug Kidwell; several nieces, nephews and friends.
A small gathering will be held on Jan 19, 2016 at 6:30pm at Big Sky Fellowship, Helena, Montana. Cremation to take place at Debbie’s request. Family to spread remains in Florida at a later date to be determined. At the family’s request, in lieu of flowers, monetary donations to offset cost of services is not expected but greatly appreciated. Donation can be sent to Ellen Eskildsen PO Box 6842 Helena, MT. 59604.
