Hedy Rose Azure-Westburg
On the morning of May 18, 2017, Hedy passed away peacefully in her home. Hedy was born February 24, 1951 in Butte, Montana to Ruby L. Azure and Edward Lawrance.
Hedy was a woman that spoke her mind and wasn’t afraid to tell you exactly what she thought. She had many interests and hobbies including going on drives in the mountains, watching the fireworks on the Fourth of July with family and friends, and shopping (especially on Jewelry Television). She was an avid billiards player and enjoyed watching her favorite football teams, the New England Patriots and the Denver Broncos, collecting angels and jewelry, and loved to have glitter and bling on everything.
Her friendliness and kindness to all people, and her devotion and love for animals is a tribute to the beauty of her heart and soul. Her inspiring presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to have known her. Hedy was a social butterfly and always loved to be around her many friends.
Hedy worked at Cooney Convalescent Home for many years and enjoyed hearing the resident’s experiences and life stories.
She is survived by her life partner, Jim Chriske; her son Jason (Lynn) Gardipee; her daughter Amy (Shane) Hall; her grandchildren Kristofer Gardipee, Jordan Chriske-Hall, Julia Rowlan, and Taylor Chriske-Hall. Her sisters Karen (Bill) Snell and Lorraine Herrera and her brother Freddy Romero; and her many cousins, nieces and nephews. And not to forget the newest addition to the family, her Pomeranian puppy Bella.
She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Emilio “Jo Jo” Romero, daughter Mandi Chriske, son Samuel Chriske, and her beloved Pomeranians, Missy and Sugar, and her cockatiel, Willy.

Karen Romero Snell says
Jim, thank you for being a big part of my sister’s life. I know she appreciated all the experiences you two had and also those family times she had with Amy and her family.
I’m going to miss talking and visiting with my big sister. We had many discussions about books, movies, politics and most of all about our childhood, teen age years, parenthood. At times she was a mama to her brothers and sisters, she took this responsibility serious, too. She loved her son, Jason and his family.
See you soon, take care,
Karen Snell
