Jessie Leon Hazlitt 17 years of age became an angel joining his grandmothers Glenda Hazlitt and Rayleen Williams in heaven July 4th 2015 in Billings MT, after being in a tragic accident with his best friend (Tanner Yudiski) by his side. Jessie gained his wings while in his mother’s arms and surrounded by his family’s love.
Jessie was born to Janis Hazlitt and Leon Higginbotham March 3rd 1998 in Helena MT, Jessie presence and love was always felt as he entered a room, He had a contagious smile and laughter that could light up the dark and he had a way of brightening your day without saying a word.
Jessie was a very unique, adventurous, kind, and loving young man, who was respectful and passionate about helping everyone he met, leaving a lasting impression, he is one you would never forget. He lived on the edge, enjoying every minute he had with a confidant relaxed free spirited flow in life.
Jessie shared a passion for music with his grandpa Jerry Hazlitt. Music was just a part of Jessie’s rhythm in life, completing him and who he was. Jessie enjoyed life, the outdoors, jumping on the trampoline, or just chilling. He took much pride spending time with his family and friends. Jessie’s biggest dream in life was to become a father and this showed with the love and admiration he had for his siblings, cousins and all the children he graced.
Jessie loved his family more than anything and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his parents; Janis Hazlitt (Kenny) Williams, and father Leon Higginbotham. His brothers and sisters; Brandon Hazlitt, Dawson Rosling, Gavin Williams, Ellie Williams, Kaegen and Ayla, His closest aunts and uncles; Darlene Hazlitt (Gustavo), Trina (Homer) Key, Kelly Hazlitt, Kimberly (Ryan) d’Esterre, Bobbi (Brandon) Vallance, and Jenny Deherrera. He is also survived by his closest cousins; Paris, Leland, Bella, Kayleona, Kiara, Naomi, Ava, Dante’, Donevin, Dakai, Elisa, Aryana, Jonathan, Connor and Jayce, along with numerous family, friends and loved ones.

Kenny and Janis, no words can express how sorry we are for your loss . The bond between a parent and a child is a special one and therefore the pain is greater when that bond is broken. Know that he is in a far better place than this Earth ! He will only experience joy, hope, love and happiness as he waits for you to join him. He is free from all the bonds of this world and God has saved him a special place in his world. God speed Jessie !
Shy says

My prayers are with all of you at this time of mourning. My girls absolutely loved Jesse. I only met him a couple of times (you know how teenagers are) and he was quite sweet. My heart breaks for all of you. My prayers are with you with hopes of comfort knowing he is with our Lord. God does take some too young (in my opinion), but he knows the plan. Keep his memories alive and live for him, as I know he would not want you to stop. Many blessings to you all.

Dr. Jim Burkholder says
Janis, I was shocked at the news. I wanted to have you know that your family is in my thoughts. I know you believe he is visiting with his grandmother again. I hope that is some small comfort in this terrible time. I can’t imagine the pain of losing a son, and one with such potential. You will survive, as you are strong, but I am hoping that in time you will cherish his memory more that feel the pain of his loss.
Rachel says
I’ve known Jessie for about two years. He was such an impact on my life. I truly love him.
I remember hanging out at memorial park with him. He was pushing kids on the tire swing. He didn’t know the kids, but he loved making them smile. He was a wonderful person and i miss him so much.
