Linda passed peacefully Sunday, November 19th, 2017 at the age of 64, surrounded by her husband and children following a courageous year of battling cancer.
Linda was born in St. George, Utah on November 26th, 1952, the third child and only daughter of Lloyd and Melba Adams. Linda spent much of her growing years in southern Utah. She lived with her family in Cedar City, Utah where she enjoyed spending time at their family restaurant “Sullivan’s” and hanging out with friends. During her junior year in high school she moved with her family to Potomac, Montana after her family purchased and settled on a ranch.
In the fall of 1971, Linda went on her first date with Rob at the Missoula County fair. Linda said Rob was charming, witty and a gentleman and she fell in love with him, they married June 30, 1972. Married for 45 years, Rob and Linda have four adult children, Robin, Brandon “Luke”, Tyler and Shelbi.
A member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, family was extremely important to Linda. She was especially pleased that her daughter, Shelbi, served a full-time LDS mission and her granddaughter, Alicia Valdez, is currently serving a full-time LDS mission. She loved spending time with family, including camping, watching movies, spending time at the family cabin and enjoying family time which often included a run to get a “sippy”. She was an eternal supporter of her four children and could often be seen at local sporting events cheering her children. Linda was blessed with ten grandchildren and she constantly found time to watch them grow and supported their different activities. She reveled in giving grandkids kisses or in Linda’s vernacular “sugar”. Linda’s love for youth led her to a thirty plus year career with Helena School District #1 where she was able to make many lasting friendships with coworkers and students. Linda was able to enjoy retirement during her last couple of months of life. Linda loved books and could often be found reading in her favorite chair.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents and survived by husband Robert Tobol, brothers William (Patricia) and Robert (Jesse) and her four children; daughter Robin Valdez (Cris) of Decatur, Illinois and their four children Antonio, Alicia, Aaron, and Andrea; son Brandon (Luke) Tobol (Jill) of Mt. Vernon, Washington and their two sons Kemper and Levin; son Tyler Tobol (Danielle) of Helena and their two children Tyson and Hailey Jones; and daughter Shelbi Kelly (Matthew) of Japan, and their two children Royce and Jeannie.
Through her matchless love and eternal spirit, Linda left a lasting impression all of her family that will last for generations. Linda’s intelligence, kindness, wit and caring will live on forever in her family’s hearts.

I want your family to know what a blessing Robin and her family have been to us in Decatur, Illinois. I didn’t know Linda, but I can tell from her smile and twinkling eyes that a lot of her came through in Robin. May your family find comfort in your memories and in the plan of salvation.
