Embraced by the love of her family, Mari (Buerman) Pocha’s, age 56, spirited presence moved from life to life on April 18, 2014. Her lifelong battle of numerous health issues began at birth. She met each one with a conquering determination and her strength and desire to live stayed with her every moment of every day.
In Mari’s words, her life of illness and suffering was the “contract she signed up for.” She will be forever missed.
She is survived by her husband, Tom Pocha, brothers Richard (Mary Lee), Hal (Jonnie) and sisters Pattie and Carol (Carlin), as well as grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mari’s spirited presence will be missed by all her family and friends.
A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at St. Peter’s Cathedral, 511 N. Park Ave., Helena, MT 59601. A reception will follow the service in the social hall of the church. Her ashes will be buried along with her father, mother, and brother at Mt. Olivet cemetery in Anaconda on Wednesday, April 23, 2014. In lieu of flowers the family asks memorials in Mari’s name be made to the Lewis and Clark Humane Society, 1712 E. Custer Ave., Helena, MT 59602. Please visit www.aswfuneralhome.com to offer the family a condolence or to share a memory of Mari.

Tom, I am so sorry to hear of Mari’s passing. I remember when the two of you first met; it was obvious to us all that you were meant to be together. Keep those happy times close to your heart while looking forward to seeing our beautiful sister, smiling in God’s house. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and Hal and all of the family. Don.
