Marjorie Martha Patzer passed away unexpectedly on February 24, 2017 at the age of 86. We lost a mother, grandmother and friend. Marjorie was the sixth of seven children born to Warren and Alice Kelley on March 26, 1930 in Butte, Montana. She attended school in Helena and graduated from Helena Senior High. She met and married the love of her life, Edwin Patzer on March 26, 1953. They were blessed with three children, Brian, Kelley and Valerie.
Marjorie spent her life teaching her kids life is not what you make, but what you make of it. She loved sports and encouraged Brian to become a pitcher for little league baseball. Kelley appreciated Marjorie teaching him to love, have patience and be appreciative. Marjorie and Val enjoyed many hours of horseback riding together.
Marjorie was a woman who loved all and enjoyed the basics of life. She treasured time spent with her family, whether it was a road trip with granddaughter, Lisa; attending grandkids sporting events; watching sports with Lisa on TV; playing pool, which she won a lot of the games; or playing a game of wahoo, she enjoyed it all. She had a kindness and heart not surpassed by any.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years Edwin Patzer, parents and siblings, son in-law Jim Tresner. She is survived by her children Brian (Debbie) Patzer, Kelley (Mary) Patzer and Valerie Tresner, grandchildren Keven (Heather) Patzer, Heide (Gregg) Marlenee, Lisa Patzer, Ryan (Julie) Patzer, Tiffany (Chris) Lamping and Jason Tresner and six great grandchildren. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

Brian, Kelley, and Val: I was so sorry to receive the news of your mom’s passing. It has been such a long time since there had been a Patzer family gathering, but I remember her well. I remember her always smiling and what fun we all had when those German Patzers and spouses all got together. Was great to see you at mom’s memorial, even though we didn’t get to visit much. Our thoughts and love are with you.
