Mary “Monica” Driscoll passed peacefully at the age of 79 surrounded by her 5 loving children after an extended illness.
Monica was born to Richard and Gertrude Holland on June 12, 1935 in Butte. Monica attended St. Mary’s School and Girls’ Central High. She worked as a candy striper at the Murray Hospital until her marriage to Jack Driscoll on November 16, 1952, and theirs was a true love story.
Mom was a dedicated and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a homemaker for the greater part of her life until her children were raised and then she joined Dad working as his meat wrapper for several years until their retirement.
Mom was preceded in death by her loving and beloved husband, Jack; son, Daniel; parents Richard and Gertrude Holland; brothers-in-law, Chuck Driscoll, Ronald Erlandson and Robert Driscoll; sister-in-law Patricia Driscoll.
Mom is survived by her 5 loving children, Chuck and Jeni Driscoll, Cathy Driscoll, Danette Driscoll, Susan and Nate Bean, Bob and Cheryl Driscoll. Grandma is also survived by her adored grandchildren, Daniel and Nichole Driscoll, Tom Johnson, Sean and James Driscoll, Maureen and Trail Black, Christa and Cody Leach, Jaclyn Schulte, Shalyn and Marissa Bean, Kyleigh and Molly Driscoll, Ashley and Jordan Driscoll; great grandchildren Ty Joseph Johnson, Jayden Jack Driscoll, Callum Black, Brooklynn Monica Leach, and Jackson, Trenton and Makenna Bean. Brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Carol Holland of Casper, Wyoming; sister Cecilia Erlandson of Butte and sister-in-law Helen Driscoll of Billings and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
Our mother loved much and was much loved. She will be remembered and honored as we carry forth her and Dad’s legacy of love, loyalty and devotion. Godspeed, Mom.

Oh Mommy – I miss you so…I know you are happy and joyous & free with Dad. You were the very best mother and friend I could have ever asked for. Thank you for so much Mom – I learned how to be who I am from you. You will always be remembered, forever missed, and eternally loved. Hugs & kisses to you & Dad in heaven. LOVE you forever.
Cathy Driscoll says
Mom, I can’ t even begin to tell you how much I miss you. I will miss my “momma hugs” more than anything else. You meant the world to me. I could tell you everything, and now I don’t have anyone to tell. I love you and I miss you, but I do know you are with dad and that is what makes me happy. You two needed to be together but I will, and do miss you always and forever. Love you foever Cathy.
