Patricia K. (Patty) Davidson passed away on June 14, 2017 surrounded by her loving family and friends, after several years’ battle with breast cancer.
Patty was born October 3, 1950, the third of four children to Jack and Fay Sullivan. When Patty was younger her dad was in the army, so they lived in several different places. Patty was born in Fort Custer Michigan, moved to Fort Lewis Washington, Newport Rhode Island where we went through our first hurricane, the Philippine Islands where our little sister Mary was born, Norfolk Virginia and then settled in Helena, MT where dad retired.
Patty graduated from Helena High School in 1968 and attended U of M for a couple years majoring in art education. Patty met Gordon Davidson, the love of her life, and they were married in 1970. From this marriage they were blessed with two children, Thomas John (TJ), and Brian Douglas. During the early years, Patty stayed home with their children and developed a love of gardening, painting, pottery and home improvement. They also spent many weekends at the family cabin on Flathead Lake enjoying family, swimming and watersports. Patty later worked for the Department of Health and Environmental Sciences, which later became Department of Environmental Quality. Patty started in the Air Quality Bureau, and after taking technology and programming classes ended up in the Information Technology Bureau, working on the department’s web sites and applications.
Patty and Gordon and family also had a small ranch in the Helena Valley where they raised cattle and hay. We were always very thankful for the many friends and family who helped us brand and care for the place.
Patty was also very active in her church, Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church, serving on various committees and councils, bible study, etc. Her OLV family has been an important part of her life making many close friends, and helping us through many life challenges..
Just prior to Gordon’s death in 2012, Patty’s brother Mike and sister-in-law Linda came to help with all the ranch work and to care for Gordon and then Patty when her cancer returned. Patty’s dear friends Kathy, Pam, Cindy and Charlotte attended her many chemo sessions. They always made a special day out of our time together and passed on their love of quilting.
Patty was preceded in death by her parents, her in-laws, Thomas and Edna Davidson, her sister Judy and husband Bill Laroux, and her son TJ.
Patty is survived by her son Brian Davidson, grandson Connor and granddaughter Paige, her brother Mike (Linda) Sullivan, sister Mary (Dan) Murray of Kalispell, brother-in-law Bruce (Glenda) Davidson and numerous nieces and nephews.
We would like to extend our appreciation to the staff and nurses at St Peters Cancer Treatment Center, and Dr. Thomas Weiner for their very compassionate care during this time period.
Services are pending at this time and will be announced when they’re complete.

Patty and Gordon were good friends and great neighbors. When we first moved across the road from them, they were instrumental in teaching us how to grow hay and take care of our land. Patty always had a smile and a warm welcome as did Gordon. Both Deb and I will miss them, but they are in a better place and they are together.
Bob and Valerie Raisch (FL.) says
Patty was a joy to work with, a hard and dedicated worker, and a fun friend. Still laughing about the Halloween when she came dressed as a bag lady to work. Both my wife Valerie and I extend our deepest sympathy to her family and friends and if we still lived in MT. would be at the service.

Patty was such a sweet lady. She raised a wonderful son, Brian, and grandson, Connor. It was my great pleasure to have them both as fourth graders at Rossiter.
You both and all your family are in my thoughts and prayers,
