On January 24, 2015, Patricia Clare Proul passed away peacefully. She was born on August 18, 1933, to Margaret (Mugs) and Gilbert (Joe) Fletcher.
She attended school in Helena and was a waitress working at places like the Placer Hotel, Red Roof Café and the Night Owl. On February 9, 1960 she married her childhood friend, Richard (Bud) Proul and together they set out on an adventure of a life time. She traveled throughout Montana and the Northwest with Bud while he worked construction and during this time, she became a mom to her five greatest treasures.
In 1978, the family returned to Helena and opened R&R Diesel Repair. Together, side by side with her husband and family, they established a thriving business which continues in operation today. While she “retired” in 2013, her heart and soul have never left that shop.
Besides her children, her other joy was her 1957 Pontiac Bonneville, which she purchased new from Jim Brooks Pontiac. Her and Bud have traveled around the United States showing the car and winning many awards, but the friendships she made with others at shows was the best award to her.
She is survived by Richard, her husband of 55 years; her children, Patsy (Tasha) and Robert Personette, Larie Proul (Sonny Delahunt, deceased), Richie and Susan Proul, Yvonne and Gary Hufford, and Anita Proul. She is also survived by her 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson, as well as her sister, Barbara (Irv) Gingrich and niece, Valeria.

Rich,
I want to wish you, your sisters and especially your Dad my deepest condolences on the passing of your Mom. She always made time to say hello whenever I came by the shop. We never really lose our parents, they live on in our memories and our hearts. She will be riding in that car, hair blowing in the wind and a smile on her face every time you take it for a ride! Thinking of you all.
