Sandra “Sandie” Lea Westfall, age 70, of Helena, passed away on June 25, 2017 at St. Peter’s Hospital in Helena, Montana. She was born to Duane and June Coleman on March 14, 1947 in Burwell, Nebraska.
Sandie graduated from high school in Manhattan, Montana and became a Teacher’s Assistant for handicapped children. She worked in both the Bozeman and Helena school districts. Sandie met Larry Westfall and they married in Bozeman, Montana on March 14, 1966.
Sandie’s hobbies were gardening, fishing, spoiling her grandkids and making greeting cards.
Sandie is preceded in death by her parents, Duane and June Coleman, and sister, Linda MacLennon. She is survived by her husband: Larry Westfall; children: Jeffrey Westfall of Rimini, MT, Jason Westfall (Tana) of Kiowa, CO and Amanda Sell (Mike) of Helena; siblings: Ronald Coleman of Trinidad, CO, Janine Coleman of Bozeman, MT, Gary Coleman (Christine) of Seattle, WA, Michael Coleman of Manhattan, MT; grandchildren: Taylor Westfall of Helena, Camielle Westfall of Helena, Jackson Sell, of Helena, Caden Sell of Helena, Ian Westfall of Helena, Megan Baker of Salt Lake City, Abe Westfall of Hamilton Montana; and one great-grandchild, Samuel Westfall of Helena.
A memorial service celebrating Sandie’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 30, 2017 at Anderson Stevenson Wilke Funeral Home, 3750 N. Montana Ave. A reception will immediately follow the service in the social hall of the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials in honor of Sandie are suggested to Farm in the Dell International, 1208 Poplar, Helena, MT 59601, or to the Lewis & Clark Humane Society, P.O.
