Our beloved Father, Brother, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather & friend Alan Dallas Gordon went to Jesus on November 1, 2015 at the age of 77. Alan was born July 14, 1938 in Spokane, WA to Dallas G. Gordon & Eva T. (Benner) Brewer. His father Dallas passed away, but he was blessed with a wonderful father K.L. Brewer, sister, Daphne (Brewer) Ahrendes & brother, John Brewer. He married Carolyn Marie Baertsch in 1957, and later divorced. Alan served in the U.S. Navy for 6 years & was honorably discharged on February 10, 1963.
Alan was preceded in death by his fathers, Dallas Gordon; K.L. Brewer, daughter Mischele Hay, and mother Eva Brewer.
Alan is survived by his sister Daphne (Frank) Ahrendes, brother John (Betty) Brewer, son David Gordon, daughters Teresa (Mike) Vulk & Holly (Gene) Quillen, grandchildren, Jesse, James, Jacob & Katie Vulk; Crystal, Sara & Kalie Quillen & 6 great-grandchildren.
Alan received his X-Ray Technician degree in the US Navy and returned to Helena to work for St. Peter’s Hospital for many years, later retiring from American Eye Care.
Alan was the most wonderful father, brother, proudest grandfather & great-grandfather. He loved his children unconditionally and his family was his whole world. Alan was one of a kind and anyone he met were blessed. He will be remembered always for his beautiful smile and loving hugs. Alan was a huge Yankee’s Baseball fan & Duke Basketball fan.
Services will be held at Our Redeemers Lutheran Church, November 14th at 1:00 p.m. with graveside services following at 2:00 p.m. at Forestvale Cemetery. Please visit www.aswfuneralhome.com to offer the family condolences or to share a memory of Alan.

I am so sad to hear about my dear cousin, Alan. As a little girl, I always had Alan watching out after me and being willing to let me play with the boys … even though my big brother wasn’t that welcoming!
