Allen Francis Minkoff
“During the Harvest Moon, close to the fall equinox, you left for the Heavenly reunion with all your loved ones who passed before you.”
Allen passed away surrounded by loved ones on September 19th, 2024. He was born in Miles City, MT, on August 13th, 1941, to Mike Minkoff and Dolores “Bocky” (Allen) Gluyas. Allen attended Sacred Heart and graduated from CCDHS in 1959. Shortly after that, he served in the Army and later attended Montana State University, graduating with a degree in Range Science.
Growing up in Miles City, Al loved working on the family ranch, playing sports, playing pool and riding the occasional bull. Over the years, Al spent time ranching and working for the BLM. He loved being outdoors and working with the land.
Al was a kind and friendly soul, and it was rare to go anywhere with him and not have him run into someone he knew. He was proud of his accomplishments in life and his family. He thoroughly enjoyed every minute he got to spend with friends and family. Al had a great sense of humor and was well known for his many sayings, “who goes there, friend or foe, advance and be recognized, shake ‘em on over the ridge, you’re burning up daylight” and many others😊
Al is survived by his children: Nicole Minkoff, Dorianne Minkoff & Michael Minkoff. Grandchildren: Josh Ewalt & Chase Maggs (Niki), Ewan Minkoff Brown, Kalia Minkoff Brown, Ambrose Minkoff Brown & Pelagia Minkoff Brown (Dorianne), Grant Minkoff & Braden Minkoff (Michael & Flora). Great Grandson: Ares (Chase). Brothers and sisters: Richard Minkoff, Dan (Karen) Minkoff, Mary Jean (Dennis) Shober, Linda (Tom) Maxwell, & many nieces, nephews and cousins that he loved very much.
Graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at Calvary Cemetery in Miles City. A reception will follow the burial at the Stage Coach.
