Ann Lenore McDonald 86, of Helena, Montana passed away on September 6, 2022. At the time of her death Ann was living at Beehive Homes of Helena. The daughter of Harold and Gene Woods was born on October 8, 1934, in Missoula, Montana.
Ann attended Paxson School, Missoula County High School and graduated from the University of Montana (Montana State University at that time) with a bachelor’s degree in home ecomomics in 1957.
After graduation Ann moved to San Francisco, California and worked as a secretary for a year. After her return to Montana Ann worked for the Dean of the Business and met her future husband John William McDonald Jr.
Ann and John were married on September 17 1960 at St. Anthony’s church in Missoula. After John’s graduation from the University of Montana School of Law in 1961 they moved to Livingston, Montana where John opened a private law practice.
1977 Ann and John moved back to Missoula where John became a professor of law and Ann began a 20-year career with the Missoula School District first at Hellgate High School and at Sentinel High School.
Ann and John retired in 1997 and enjoyed many trips to Hawaii and Las Vegas. The also took many cruises together.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents Harold and Gene Woods and husband John. She is survived by her son Kevin (Kristin) of Helena, daughter Leanne of Missoula and three grandchildren Patrick, Daniel and John Allan. She is also survived by her brother Hal (Deanna) Woods of Missoula and numerous nieces and nephews.
Per her request she will be interred at Sunset Gardens in Missoula in a private service at a future date.
