Anne Henson Waite passed away August 18, 2011. She was born May 17, 1924 in Chestnut Hill, PA to Frank Henson and Constance Green. She attended private schools there.
She was a member of the Oro Fino Chapter DAR, holding numerous offices in Helena and in the Butte Chapter of DAR, and also the daughter of The Colonists, of which she was a member. She was also a friend of The Children Here, a group that serves the InterMountain Childrens’ Home, and was a volunteer at St. Peter’s Hospital.
She was an avid reader and golfer and had been a member of the Homer Club in Butte, where she lived for many years and the Current Topic Club in Helena.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Frank Henson of Williamsburg, VA.
She is survived by two daughters, Constance Robertson and Susan Robertson; a son and daughter-in-law, Leslie and Ardyth Waite of Great Falls; five grandchildren, Mark and Mary Robertson of Helena, Anne Robertson and Jackie of New York, Romney and Rod Johanson of Portland, OR, David and Michelle Waite of Portland, OR, and Jess and Jenna Robertson of Vancouver, WA. She also has eight great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass will be 12:10 p.m. Friday, August 26, 2011 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Susan and Family, I would like to express my sincere condolences to you in the loss or your Mother. Anne will be truly missed by all. I know that she is watching over all of you now and will always be in your hearts. I will always remember many wonderful chats and laughs when I was Manager at Eagles Manor.
My prayers and thoughts are with you all. I pray that God will grant you peace and heal your wounds. Remember that she loved you all very, very much. Susan you were always there for your mother and I know that she appreciated it very much.

For some reason I searched for Aunt Anne’s name online and was sad to see that she had passed away. I shall miss hearing from her at Christmas time, and I pray for the Lord’s comfort for all her family.
