Arnold, “Larry” Lawrence Weidman
On the afternoon of August 27th, 2025, Larry passed away peacefully at Elkhorn Nursing Home in Clancy, MT surrounded by his family. Larry was 88 years old.
Larry was born in Billings, MT on October 17th, 1936. He was the last child of five born to Fletah DeVore and Kenneth Weidman. Larry grew up in Livingston, MT. He left high school and joined the US Army in 1955 and was honorably discharged in 1957. After his discharge from the Army, Larry was hired on by Mountain Bell as a lineman. In 1960, while working near Stanford MT, Larry met his future wife; Lemoin Irene Werner. Larry and Lemoin were married three months later December 10th, 1960.
His son Lowell Weidman was born on December 25th, 1963, and his daughter Leslie Lang followed on March 24th, 1965. Larry’s new family moved a lot throughout the early years because Larry was working on a construction crew for Mountain Bell. The family had a single-wide trailer and truck they would pull from town to town depending on where Larry’s work site was located. The towns included Livingston, Wolf Creek, Butte, Dillon, Drummond, Missoula, Conrad, and Whitehall. Larry worked for the phone company for 31 years before retiring in 1991. He worked for the Golden Sunlight Mine near Whitehall, MT and permanently retired in 1998. Upon retirement Lemoin and Larry lived in Cascade MT, Hurricane UT, Overton UT, Wickenburg, AZ, Apache Junction, AZ, and ultimately settled with their daughter Leslie in East Helena, MT.
As a Great Grandfather, Grandfather, Father, Husband, Brother, and Friend Larry had the best sense of humor. Larry loved making people laugh and sharing jokes. His quick wit and delivery always had people “rolling with laughter”. Larry loved all his family and friends and always looked forward to visitors. He loved Lemoin until her passing and we can all find comfort knowing the two of them are up in heaven dancing together. Larry will be truly missed by many.
Larry was preceded in death by his mother Fletah DeVore, father Kenneth Weidman, brothers Kenny Weidman, Ronny Weidman, sisters Judy Dejardin, Toodie Lindeman and grandchildren Cody James Lang and Christian Dale Wilson.
Larry is survived by his, son Lowell Weidman (Missy), daughter Leslie Lang (Jim), grandchildren Shelby Cotnoir (Sam), Sidney Hyndman (Quinn), Sheridan Marr (Jake), Zach Dahms, great grandchildren Riley Hyndman, Ridge Hyndman, and Leo Cotnoir.
