My heart is broken. This was truly a wonderful lady. She had a heart as big as the outdoors. She never had a cross or mean word to say about anyone. I had the great honor of being her friend attending church with her and also working with her. She faced all of her health battles with courage honor and dignity. She never asked anybody for anything. Every year she would take me to lunch on my birthday. I looked forward to those special times. I know without a doubt there is a place in heaven for her. God’s speed I will miss you my friend

Dear family and friends of Barb,
You are in my thoughts and prayers. I am so sorry to hear of the passing of such a beautiful women of God. I had the honor of working with Barb in the same office for over 8 years. She was my ‘go to person’ at work when some new computer program or procedures were implemented. She was always so willing to show me more than once each step of the new program or office procedure with patience and humor. She never bad mouthed anyone, always keeping her dignity. She walked through many changes at work as a women full of grace. I saw her battle each reoccurrence of her cancer with such courageous dignity and acceptance. She was an inspiration to me and I will miss her so much. She is now with God surrounded by all his angels and saints, waiting for us as we journey to our own heavenly home where we will meet again.

I worked with Barb for over 9 years and she was amazing. I always called her my side kick. She was the strongest woman i have ever known. I would say I looked up to her. Always willing to help others and never showed any signs that she was going thru any pain while going thru her battles with cancer. I still think wow, she split her own wood to burn every winter. She will definately be missed by many. I will miss you. Spread you wings wide.

Ever since the day I learned of this wonderful lady’s passing I have been reviewing my years of friendship with here. We first me at the Helena College of Technology in 1998 and realized we shared the same LDS faith when we saw each other at church in in 2000 she interviewed at my office and to my delight she got the job When I decided to become Catholic, Barb did not leave me as a friend but accepted my new faith journey. She was an inspiration to everyone she worked with. She came to work did her job (110% I might add) never got involved in office gossip or politics–that was not Barb’s style) I have NEVER heard anyone say a bad word about Barb-nor did she ever utter a bad word about anyone. She accepted you for who and what you were. She always teased me “saying I don’t like coming to your house, it is too clean–LOL” I love you Barb. If you were in the hospital, needed a ride, or whatever Barb was the first one there. Yet she was a strong independent woman who wanted to stand tall and not take help. She inspired everyone. No matter how sick she was she always had a smile and a kind word for you. Heaven shines brighter with her there. I know she would not want us to be sad but there is a void and a emptiness without her there. I know when I reach those gates of heaven Barb will be there to welcome me. This is not goodbye my friend by farewell and God Bless

Barb was such a lovely soul. I worked with Barb for several years, and she always told it like it was but with grace and kindness. She was bright, industrious, kind and comical. In her own quiet way, she brought peace and comfort to so many people in so many ways. Eternal rest grant unto her, oh Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace.

I had the pleasure to meet Barb when a group of young girls asked me to coach their city softball team when I was fifteen. They called the team the Rowdies. Barb was one of the nicest players. She had a great smile and a fun little giggle. I always enjoyed running into her in later years and having a short conversation. I will never forget you Barb. Rest in peace.

I truly loved working with Barb Green at the Department of Labor and Industry. She was a hard worker with strong ethics and when I filled in for her while she had some health issues, I made sure I did the best job ever for her because she was extremely organized. I loved her little Christmas gifts left on my desk and making and giving her special eats. Wonderful, wonderful person.

I got to know Barb through work. She was a wonderful lady with many great qualities. I’m so sorry her time for her well deserved retirement was so short; I know she had many physical battles. I pray she is free from pain and at peace now. Blessings to her.
