I have a personal, just-for-me memory, I will always treasure:
Mom & I and a woman named Sue, went to the Diamond S. Ranch,
(Once a Beautiful resort!) We relaxed & healed in the indoor Hot Springs pool.
I remember this place in detail, including a cat looking down from the rafters.
I thought my Mom was beautiful & can still hear her laughter!
This memory has never faded…
even though the place was torn down, long ago.
The beauty remains, as does my Mother’s.
I remember how Mom loved people & her family.
She was the best cook I ever knew in life; she loved her crossword puzzles.
And what games of Canasta, or dice, we enjoyed, together!
It was never dull around Barbara!
She always had life stories in the works.
I remember her terrific personality; her laughter & how she loved us.
She taught us great compassion.

You are all in my thoughts and prayers. It made my heart sad to read that Barb had passed away. It brought back many childhood memories (living on the wrong side of the tracks.) Some days I wish we were all still kids living in the old neighborhood. My deepest sympathy goes out to all of you.

To all the Beckler Family,
I am so sorry to hear of Barbara’s passing. She was a wonderful lady and in my younger years I was very fortunate to have known her. She was like a second mother to me as I spent a good part of my time in the Beckler home. Barbara had her hands full with her 6 children and all their friends! I too remember her laugh and a few of her sayings!! She was always very kind to me “little Mary”. I remember spending weekends there when her and Warren would be getting ready to go out as he played in a band. Barbara you will be missed by all your wonderful family and friends but now you will be at peace with the rest of your family. God Bless you all!
