In Memory Of

Becky R. Goodman-Bruck, age 46, of Helena

Becky Rae Goodman passed away peacefully at her parent’s home on January 13, 2015. Becky was born in 1968 to Walt and Kathy Goodman. She graduated from Helena Capital High and went on to receive her bachelor’s degree from MSU, which caused quite a stir with her father (the self-proclaimed #1 Griz Fan).

Her Career spanned from being promoted as the youngest Maurice’s manager to becoming a widely recognized and radiant member of the Helena Business Community.

As her good friend, Jason DeShaw, sang to Becky “Reckon I’ll just ramble on, the rainbow is almost gone, but hell so am I. We all fade to blue. Life is good and at this too, just learning how to fly. Somewhere over the rainbow way up high where I dream of a lady in my lullaby.”

Becky is survive d by her parents Walt and Kathy Goodman, Helena, her husband, Todd Bruck, her special dog, C.J., Helena, her sisters, Sharlene (Keith) Stav, Jennie (Monty) Herrin, Stacie (Todd) Marsh, her nephews, Jake Merritt, Monty Herrin, Jared, Jackson, Justin & Jacob Marsh, and great niece, Aspen Merritt.

A celebration of Becky’s life will be from 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 20th in the social center at Anderson Stevenson Wilke Funeral Home, 3750 N. To All of Becky’s beloved family,

What a shock, so young and so loved. Becky was a true artist. She decorated and dreamt up all the lovely items for our log home when we moved to Helena in 1999. Her beloved mother Cathy accompanied her on one trip and the three of us had a blast. We had so much fun laughing and picking out “just the perfect accent” as Becky would always say. Every time I look at them I think fondly of Becky.
Becky was one of the sweetest, most honest and compassionate women we have ever met. I know her family is in shock and pain so no words I can offer at this time could help.
RIP Becky, soar among angels and keep the love and laughter strong in heaven.

Words cannot express the loss everyone who knew Becky is feeling now. The world as we know it is not as bright today but the stars in heaven will shine brighter tonight because Becky is among them !

When a friend passes, regardless of how old or how young, their passing is too soon for those of us left behind.
For a friend to pass peacefully in the loving company of family, those of us left behind can only hope to be as fortunate.
That said, our friend Becky is gone too young, too soon.
    Our condolences to the family.

My most sincere sympathy to Becky’s family. In 1978, I moved to the West side of town and Becky and her family adopted me into their home as if I was one of their own. Becky and I grew up together. In good times and bad, we made it through and our friendship lasted through it all. Becky always seemed to be happy, laughing, giving, helping, smiling. I will miss her big hugs every time we saw each other. I send my arms to hug those who lost her. I pray for her peace. Good bye, my friend. Thank you for being a part of my entire life. Thank you for the memories. Thank you for always supporting me in my decisions. Thank you for your light . . .

I’m not sure why I’m writing here. I don’t know Becky, the circumstances of her passing, nor do I know any of her family (that I know of). Yet somehow I found my way to this page and feel compelled to write something. I do pray that all of Becky’s family finds peace during this turbulent time. God is bigger than grief and He loves you all very much. Take care and be well.

Helena has lost a creative and successful entrepreneur. Beginning at Maurices, then to her own successful boutique, Brewhouse, then Fusion Grill, Becky was full of ideas, exuberance, and always the time to stop say hi, making one feel welcome and at ease. No one knows the time we have here on earth, but we know we have eternity with God. Welcome to your forever home Becky. Till we meet again. Condolences to Becky’s family, and prayers for their grief, I know their tears are many right now.

Reading all the posts, its amazing that everyone has the same memories…she was loved by all. I only spent a short time with her in Minnesota ……but I will never forget her contagious attitude, her love for life …I was truly blessed to have her in my life, if only for a short time. Please find peace…she loved you all very much!
