Betty Jane (Gee) Baker surrounded by her family passed away July 6, 2015 at the age of 85 in Helena MT following complications of a stroke.
Betty was 1 of 11 children. Born to Jim & Lena (Dwight) Gee on January 29, 1930 in Bozeman MT.
Betty lived her younger years in Bozeman MT where she met her husband of 67 years Dick Baker. They then moved to Helena in 1955 where they made their life long home together with their 3 children.
Betty enjoyed life’s simple things. Friday night card games with close friends, camping, rafting, bowling and watching the birds and squirrels play in the yard. But her true joy and happiness was spent with her family.
Betty was preceded in death by her mother and father, sisters June, Marlene and Zella along with her brothers Ken, Ernie, Floyd, George and her great great grandson Graysen Clark.
Betty is survived by husband Dick Baker, daughter Sharon (Dan Kaberline) Heigh, son Rick (Bonnie) Baker and daughter Barb (Kevin) Crabtree. Grandkids, Tammy Heigh, Chuck (Randi) Heigh, Brook (Shane) Feist and Heather (Mike) Parmer. Great grandkids Alex Heigh, Riley Stevens, Kaleigh & Lauryn Feist and Auston & Emmalee Parmer along with a great great grandson Easton Clark, brothers Herman, Con and Toby Gee, Sister-in-law Linda Manning, along with several nieces & nephews.
Her sweet smile, silly giggle and incredible strength, inspiration and courage will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, July 10, 2015 at Anderson Stevenson Wilke Funeral Home, 3750 N. Montana Avenue. A funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 11, 2015 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Forestvale Cemetery. A reception will be held in the social center of the funeral home immediately following the burial service. Memorials in Betty’s name are suggested to Lewis & Clark Humane Society, P.O. Box 4455, Helena, MT 59604.
