In Memory Of

Beverly M. Flemming, age 89, of Helena

September 1, 1924 – March 23, 2014

Beverly M. (Alm) Flemming, 89, passed away March 23rd, 2014.

Beverly was born in Fort Benton, Montana, September 1st, 1924. She lived in Geraldine, Helena, Unionville and Great Falls.

Beverly and William Roddy were married in 1940. They had two daughters, Michale and Cynthia. They later divorced. After Beverly married Richard Flemming in 1956, they lived in Great Falls for several years. Bev and Dick returned to Helena where she worked for the Department of Labor from 1970-1984 when she retired.

From a young age, Beverly loved to sing. She could sing alone or in harmony about any theme you wanted. She learned to play several instruments by ear. Her favorite was ukulele. She always had a beautiful garden and yard. She pressed the flowers she grew and made decorative cards, candles and pictures with them for family and friends. She also sold many of them at local shops. She made comfortable, creative quilts for all the kids, grandkids and great-grandkids. Many of her crafts are still proudly used and displayed today.

Beverly took many fun trips with family and the Summit Club of Helena. She was a life member of Helena Garden Club and the V.F.W. Auxiliary.

Beverly was the 8th of 10 children. She was preceded in death by her husband Dick, her parents, 8 siblings, grandson Tim Mitchell, and son-in-law Al Struble.

She is survived by her daughters Michale (Dave) Mitchell and Cynthia Struble; granddaughter Korey (Keith) Wolferman; grandsons Ben Foot and Jeff (Sheila) Foot; and ten great grandchildren: Rex, Ellen, Quinn, and Piper Wolferman; Darian and Seth Foot; Blaine, Alek, Shylo and Jade Foot; her brother Ben (Beverly) Alm and many nieces and nephews. She enjoyed and appreciated visits from Carrie, Judy and Russell.

Cremation has taken place. At Bevs’ request, no services are planned. Please visit below to offer the family a condolence or to share a memory of Bev.
