Bonnie Marie Taylor passed away peacefully at home on Friday, January 6, 2017 after a courageous 34-year battle against Friedreich’s Ataxia, her husband Byron by her side throughout the fight. Bonnie was known by family and friends alike for her unwavering spirit and genuine personality.
Bonnie was born on December 4, 1952 in Livingston, MT, the only daughter of Bill and Joyce Heer. She attended school in Livingston, graduating from Park High School in 1971. Growing up in Livingston, Bonnie enjoyed spending time outdoors with her family in the Paradise Valley area. She spent time working for Judge Swindlehurst before devoting her life to being the best ‘house boss’ a family could ask for.
She is survived by her husband Byron, daughter Sheli (Casey) Jacoby; grandsons, Jordyn and Damon Taylor; her Dad, Bill Heer; her favorite auntie, Kay (Ron) Hjelt; special cousin Beverly Porter; nephew, Sam (Megan) Heer; niece, Jill (Nick) Shannon and several uncles, cousins and many close and special friends
Bonnie enjoyed spending time shopping with her daughter, laughing and making memories with her grandsons Jordyn and Damon; she never missed any of their little league or high school sporting events, reading Stephen King novels (she owned and read every piece published!), watching her Denver Broncos, and preparing for or decorating for Christmas – just when you thought you had unpacked the last box, she’d have ‘one’ more. In her early years, she won several blue ribbons at the Park County Fair for her beautiful ceramic art.
She never forgot a family birthday and was always so thoughtful and considerate of others. Bringing joy to others is what she enjoyed most.
Bonnie is preceded in death by her Mom, Joyce Heer, brothers Douglas Heer, Terry Heer, and Billy Heer. Maternal and Paternal grandparents.
A service celebrating Bonnie’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 14th at Anderson Stevenson Wilke Funeral Home, 3750 N. Montana Ave. A reception will immediately follow the service in the social hall of the funeral home. Memorials in Bonnie’s name are suggested to Pad for Paws Foundation, PO Box 287 Helena, MT 59624.

Byron with much love and gratitude. Thank you so very much for taking care of my “soul” sister. She touched my heart from the moment I met her, and so did you. Every moment I spent with her was a blast and a whole lot of laughs. We strived for the thrill of adventure and we never had to think about it, it always unfolded for us, and for anyone who happen to cross our paths. Love you and Bonnie with all my heart and soul. So many memories, from playing in your house on 8th street to my weekly laundry visits in college. I remember when you lived in Livingston and Wendy, Misty, and I found one of Uncle Byron’s can of chew and decided to try it. While we were spitting, gagging and nearly throwing up, I remember Aunt Bonnie catching us and laughing…she was always smiling and had a great sense of humor. And we never “chewed” again! Loved her laugh and miss her smile.
Jeana Shchuchinov (Rossi) says
Bonnie was such a joy to clean for once a week! I grew to know her and love her. We did lots of laughing and talking about our grandkids. I know she adored her grandsons! And her daughter Shelli. I feel very honored to have known her, she was a special lady. Love to the family during this troubling time. Jeana

WOW……what a journey…. 34 years of smiles and tears, and understanding the battle the body takes—and the wonderful loving family support that makes every day so important… we were fortunate to have been friends of BILL and JOYCE, and watched the kids grow while they were in LIVINGSTON… Bonnie, was always fun loving and adventuresome as a child… a joy to watch grow along with her brothers. I also loved her AUNT KAY… cousins, BEVE, CINDY AND MIKE.. Kay was one of my best friends, along with Bonnie’s mother Joyce.
Byron and Sheli, the precious – sweet – memories of BONNIE’S strength and laughter, will bring you joy in your future days of this new journey. GOD BLESS YOU.
INFORMATION FOR KAY…. BOB CROSSED OVER AUG. 1 2017 – he was on Kidney dialysis and kidney diet for several years

I am just seeing this. I thought of her and her brother Bill. I knew them both, and spent some time with Terry. I knew them when they lived in Phoenix in the 70s. Bill was my apartment roommate and Bonnie was a coworker at Ramada Inns Executive offices, where we worked in the development arm. She was so much fun to be around. Always laughing and being sarcastic about things, which I loved. In spite of her disability, she was a go getter and was, and still is, an inspiration to me all these years later. I warms my heart to know she went on to get married and have a family! God bless Bonnie.
