Brenda Louise Gloege-Schnittgen “Auntie B” left peacefully surrounded by family at St. Peters Hospital on April 26, 2017 in Helena, MT at the age of 47 of Glioblastoma (Brain) Cancer.
Brenda was born on August 3, 1969 in Helena, MT to Sharon and Terry. She graduated from high school in 1986 from Capital High, Helena, MT. Brenda worked at Montana Eye Care from 1995-2008. She decided to stay home with her newly born daughter and opened a daycare at her house. Children and babies were the highlight of Auntie B’s world. Her daughter started school so she decided to join the workforce as a Customer Service Specialist at Montana State Fund until she was unable to work due to her illness. Her major accomplishment was being a devoted mother to RaeAnna. She loved her nieces like they were her own children. She spent many hours with each of them. Her daughter and nieces were her “Sunshine”, along with Brayleigh and Maxton. Anyone who knew Brenda knew she was the Queen of the Helena Classifieds. Brenda always found the good in everyone. Brenda loved to scare everyone and then sit and giggle at them. Her smile and laughter could brighten any room she entered. Her heart was full of love always! Brenda will be missed by everyone who has met her.
Being from a big family Brenda had many aunts and uncles that loved her more than she could ever imagine. She reminded all of them that she was their “favorite” niece.
Brenda is survived by her mother, Sharon (John) Meyer; father, Terry (Kathy) Gloege; daughter, RaeAnna; two brothers, Cory (Shelly) Gloege, and Garry Gloege. Two nieces, Morgan Andrews-Gloege (Matt) and Sharae Gloege (Cody); great niece Brayleigh Gloege and great nephew Maxton Sauer; special friend who was like a sister, Susan Doig; Grandmother, Clara Longmire, all of Helena, MT. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and many special friends.
The family would like to thank the staff of Dr. Weiner and Oncology nurses of St. Peters Hospital. Thanks too many family members and friends who supported Brenda and her family.
“I Love You Mom,” RaeAnna.

Brenda’s family,
My heart is saddened at the loss of such a young, beautiful, funny, bright, amazing lady. I have never ran into Brenda when she wasn’t smiling and had good things to say. This world has lost a gifted, wonderful, special person who will be remembered always. My prayers and thoughts go out to each member of her family and close friends. God Bless you all and may the hundreds of happy memories of her bring joy to your hearts in the days ahead.
Mickie Sutton says
Brenda was an angel sent down from heaven for a short time, to share her love and compassion for those who were lucky enough to have touched her life in some way. I’ve never known someone with such a beautiful way of opening herself to be loved and to give back that love so unconditionally. Her beauty is left behind in the love of her life, her precious RaeAnna.
My heart aches for all her loved ones at this time, may you find peace and comfort in the arms of our Lord, and the many memories you have to share.
I will never forget this wonderful woman and her warm loving hugs. Fly home my friend, your work here is done. ❤️

I worked with Brenda at the YMCA in the drop in daycare. She was just out of high school. She was a natural with all the kiddos and was born to be a momma. She was the sunshine of the daycare. Always had a smile on her face and truly loved every child there. I was so shocked to hear of her illness and passing. Brenda was just as beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside. I don’t there was a person that she would not have helped if she had the chance. Rest In Peace my precious friend.

I am very saddened to read about Brenda. Her and I had many laughs in parking lots around town. I would buy from her then she would buy from me. She was a great person and will be missed by many. May the days ahead bring you peace and understanding. “God Bless”

Dearest Brenda,
You were my first friend when I moved to Helena back in 1986. You were a bright eyed high school graduate and we had lots of laughs working at the Helena YMCA childcare and getting into all sorts of mischief outside of work. I am so grateful that our friendship continued as our lives moved forward. I will miss your smile and brazen attitude for life and I see that in Rae Anna. I’m glad to have you as one of the angels up there watching over me. Love you.

I am so sorry for your loss. I’m also sorry I never had the pleasure of actually meeting Brenda but she called me a year ago to check out my summer program for Raeanna and we talked for a long time. She impressed me as very sweet, friendly, outgoing and happy but what shone through that brief conversation the brightest was her love for her daughter. Even a total stranger (me) could see in that short time what a wonderful person she was. How my heart goes out to you!
Leslee Thennis says
Dear Sharon and Family,
Brenda was such an integral part of my family’s life. I first met Brenda at the YMCA when she worked in the drop in childcare and she babysat my children who dearly loved her. I feel blessed to have had our friendship continue even as my children grew up. Brenda’s love, hugs, smile, laughter and kindness will always be remembered. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Words cannot express the deepest sympathy I can possibly offer for such a tremendous loss…..
Brenda was such a great friend – I will never forget her infectious laugh and giant smile. Her greatest happiness was being a mom, only above being “Auntie B”. Gone but never forgotten, her impression on this world was as big as her giant heart. We will miss you Brenda.
