In Memory Of

Brian D. Schneider age 37, of Helena

May 19, 1979 – May 22, 2016

Brian David Schneider, 37, died May 22, 2016, in Helena Montana.

In the end he lost a long and agonizing battle with mental health issues…peace at last.

He was born May 19, 1979, in Adrian, Michigan.  Brian moved to Helena in 1992 with his parents.

Brian graduated from Capital High School in 1997, and attended the Art Institute of Seattle.

Art was an important part of his life and he worked as a freelance graphic artist.  He loved cars, always trying to customize them with his creative ideas.

He also loved animals, having several pets including his most recent good buddy, Fuzz the cat.

Being ethical, kind, always willing to help, were values he felt were important.  And despite everything, he attempted to retain a sense of humor!

He is survived by his parents, David and Toni Schneider of Helena, his sister Jennifer Schneider of Butte MT, and his nephews John Schneider and Garrett Waddle.

Cremation has taken place.  The family will celebrate Brian’s life privately, and suggest that any memorial contributions be made to NAMI Helena, P.O. Box 401, Helena MT 59624. Please visit below to offer condolences or to share a memory of Brian.

Brain was like another brother for me. He has been a part of our family since before I can even remember. I’m glad to hear you don’t have to fight the battle anymore, but it greatly saddens me to no longer have your creative, spunky spirit around anymore. Rest in peace and fly free.

Brian was like a brother to me for as long as i can remeber. He could aways make me laugh. He showed me a diffrent perspective on anything i was working on or dealing with. He always had my back. Though we had lost touch in the past couple years he was still one of me best friends; and will always have a special place in my heart. My deepest condolences to his family. He will me missed.

Brian and I were close friends though highschool. It saddens me that we grew apart over the years as many friendships do. I just wanted to share my memories with you of Brian and the fun we used to have. The time we spend together in DECA, BPOA, and marketing class plus the friendship we enjoyed outside of school will be with me forever. Your son made my life a better place with his fun personality and smile that would make your rainy day into a rainbow. I am so sorry for your loss. Know that Brian will live on through those that he touched. Brian, you are now free to paint the world beyond. The world is a little darker today.

My husband and I live in Brian’s most recent neighborhood. While we weren’t close acquaintances, Brian always said hello and was a kind and pleasant neighbor. His truck’s holiday decorations – Santa driving a sleigh – brought lots of joy to our neighborhood. We are so sorry for you loss and wish you peace moving forward.
