Carol Ann Deschon-Pocha passed December 20, 2016 at her home in Helena, Mt. of cancer.
Born September 10, 1945 in Chinook Mt. Carol was one of 15 children between William Deschon and Kathrine Baur-Deschon. Carol grew up in Helena. She was many things, Daughter, Sister, Mother, Wife and Grandmother. Carol was sassy, tough, funny. She was wife to Earl Pocha whom she was happily married to for 22 years until his death in May 1998. Sometimes stubborn a trait she passed onto her three daughters Linda Carter, Yolanda Pocha, and Shannel Pocha. She was “The Best Grandma in the World” and will be missed by her granddaughters Alyssa Borke, Moniqua Pocha, Jillian Richards and grandson Sean Craft. She was “Sweetie” to John McIntosh her loving partner for 18 years.
Carol was full of life and laughs. She enjoyed spending time with her friends. Keeping her girls on their toes, adored her grandchildren. In her younger days she was passionate about softball and bowling belonging to several leagues in the 1980’s. Later years she enjoyed Bingo spending Saturday evenings at 5W’s Bingo or The Best Bet. On occasion taking trips to Worley.
May of 2016 Carol was diagnosed with cancer and spent her final months with her family and friends, sharing laughs, tears, anger and love. Being close and squeezing every bit out of each moment. Mom, Grandma and Sweetie is going to be missed. She was survived by her sisters Marilyn and Mary aforementioned children, grandchildren and partner. Proceeded in death by her parents, husband, brothers David, Joe, Raymond, Edwin, Alfred, John, Willard, Charles, Elwood and sisters Linda, Penny and Edna.
Everyone who knew Carol has a glorious story to share, we invite you to Anderson Stevenson Wilke on December 28, 2016 to share your story, and Celebrate her Life from 2pm to 4pm in the Reception Hall. Food and beverages will be served.
