Blessings on your family..the earth has lost a beautiful soul.
I worked with Carol in the 60’s at the First National Bank.
She was one of the most beautiful women, inside and out, and she taught me strength & perseverance along with many other qualities.
We “jazzed” together, bowled with a team we adored,
Tried golfing lessons, laughed a lot and just plain enjoyed each other.
I had a wonderful visit with her just a few months ago at Touchmark. I will not forget her.
I know you were her only child. ???

Blessings to family…… I always thought of you when I was a young child, in my teens and today. You were always there for us. Your spirit so true, bright and loving will always be with us here. I remember all the times we talked how I looked to you with admiration and how you gave me hope for a good tomorrow. I will hold you close to my heart. Miss you and love you.

Carol and I met when I moved into their rental after I came home to Montana following a divorce back east. She went out of her way to help figure out a fee I could afford and worked with me when the funds didn’t come in as expected. She often dropped off vegetables from her garden and was so willing to be helpful. One time when we were talking on the phone she asked “Do you have a cat? You need a cat – they’re so much company. Get one.” Imagine a property owner encouraging a renter to get a cat! But that was Carol. She was a dearheart.

I am saddened to hear of Carol’s passing but I hope and believe she is now with Dave again in a happy place. I first met Carol when I went to work at First National Bank and Trust Co in 1965. We almost immediately hit it off. I soon invited her to attend a ceramics class I was teaching in my home. She was a devoted student until I moved from Helena in1976. During the time of the ceramics classes she often went to Great Falls with me to buy greenware. After purchasing we would go out to dinner and drinks where Carol taught me to love Jazz. After I moved away from Helena we always stayed in touch. When I would return to Helena I usually saw Carol and Dave. Carol often arranged a ceramics class reunion or invited my husband and I to a wonderful dinner and visit at their home. After I moved back to Helena in 2014 we visited Carol at Touchmark. I could write about so many happy events with Carol and Dave. They both, but especially Carol, contributed so much to my life. I loved them more than I can express. The most important things that I will always remember about Carol were how beautiful she was at any age; she was always the epitome of a gracious true lady. She was a sincere and loyal friend, she was a superior and adept employee. I could go on and on in this vein but I will end by saying the world was a better place with Carol in it. I loved her very much and hope tp see her again. I will always be grateful to have known her.

I met Carol and Dave in the early 2000’s when I visited Helena with Audrey Saari. I enjoyed seeing them over the years when we came to Helena to visit. I would echo my wife’s sentiments about Carol. I always felt comfortable in their home and felt there was something special about Carol. It was easy to see why my wife wanted to keep in touch with her. Carol was a great hostess and I enjoyed hearing some of the recollections they had of times they spent together doing ceramics, working together and Audrey’s learning to enjoy Jazz, something Carol taught her to appreciate . I truly wish I had met Both Carol and Dave earlier in my life. They were both special people. Looking forward to meeting up with her again in the future.
