Jim & family,
Carolyn was my forever friend and I will miss her very much. Our “sweet Caroline”, she suffered so much and was so strong thru it all. She never gave up! She endured sadness like no one I have ever known. I have so many wonderful memories, they make me smile. We knew each other from first grade, raised our children together, spent over 30 years going to Seeley with all the family and so much more. It is so very hard to let go, easier when you think of the pain she went thru. I will always remember the cute giggle when we were riding the toys at Seeley, our Yankee & Laker games & the many years we had together. I love you all, Jim & family. The children & grandchildren are all a part of my family. Rest in peace, my dear sweet friend. God bless you all!

Jim and family, I am so sad to read about Carolyn’s death. I always picture her vibrant, beautiful smile that I saw 30 years ago when we met, whenever I think of her. We met when Michelle introduced us, and Michelle was the topic of our conversations forevermore. While it made her sad, she was always smiling and laughing over the memories we shared when we visited. Now they are reunited in heaven. May you feel God’s love as you deal with your overwhelming loss. I’m so happy I met Carolyn.

Skeeter and Margaret Baertsch says
As children Carolyn and I (Skeeter) received a bicycle from our parents. Neither one of us knew how to ride it so we pushed it about 2 1/2 miles to school and back. Unfortunately when we did finally ride it, we didn’t know how to stop it so we coasted down hill until we hit a telephone pole. I love you, Carolyn and will never forget the times we shared together.

Dead Jim and family, I was just thinking about Carolyn the other day, and to see her in the online obits was a real shock. You may not remember me, but Carolyn was instrumental in hiring me at the Health Department back in 1978. I had just gotten divorced and wanted to start over in a nice community so when I had the chance to stay in Helena, I jumped. For all my good fortune, Carolyn was there to soften the landing. She befriended me, along with many other coworkers in our Bureau, which gave me the encouragement and support to succeed. She will always be in my heart and I will always endeavor to be the kind of friend she was to me. Much love to you all. Many will miss this sweet lady.

Teresa, Holly, and David
I knew that lady’s face in the IR from somewhere… It has been a very long time, yes? Of all the people that would live in the Stuart St house next to ours, you folks were my favorite tribe. A house full of good lookin’, fun-lovin’ females I do recall, long before I could appreciate such blessings of the “girls next door”. David, you might’ve let ADHD artist fella next door know you had a dentist appointment that afternoon, PRIOR to the face painting I’d done for ya! It was striking, yah? So was your moms temper when she came over to fetch ya! If she didn’t ever forgive me, I’m sure she forgot? Like how I forgot Holly jammin’ those dandelions in my face/up my nose near 50 years ago!
Gordon clan, I’m familiar with the grief you’re experiencing. Keep your eyes, minds, and hearts open for Carolyn will find ways of letting you know she’s still around. She will appreciate some acknowledgment and the smile that confirms you’re all O.K., if not missing her a lot. Looking around you, there is much to celebrate the love that only a mother can deliver.
Fond memories from the ‘hood times like this conjure up! Cheers! to Carolyn! AND her kids!
