In Memory Of

Celeste Rogers, age 71, of Helena

November 14, 1947 – October 10, 2019

“You left us beautiful memories, your love is still our guide, although we cannot see you, you’re always at our side.” (author unknown)

Celeste Tegg Rogers passed away peacefully at the age of 71, in Helena, MT, October 10, 2019. The oldest of 4 siblings, she was born in Norfolk, VA, November 14, 1947 to Larry and Eunice Tegg.

Celeste graduated in 1966 from Miami Norland High School. She later attended school at the Helena College of Technology where she obtained her certificate in paralegal studies. Celeste was an artist and attended school for art instruction.

Celeste worked as a telephone operator at Mountain Bell for many years. She also worked as an office manager for the Montana Iron Workers Union, and as a manager and “entertainer “at the Real Food Market and Deli all in Helena. Celeste loved the young employees at RFM, working and playing hard with them all.

One of Celeste’s biggest passions was the Lewis & Clark Humane Society because of her fondness for animals. Celeste had a love for all her friends in Helena and would go out often to visit and eat with them. At a young age she took ballet lessons which gave her a passion for dancing which followed her through her entire life. Celeste also liked to make jewelry, crochet, knit, play games on her Ipad, and draw pictures while watching her favorite shows on television. A lot of time was spent on her “petio” with her kitties, admiring them and telling them how much she loved them and how beautiful they were. Her personality was one of fun and shock. She liked nothing better than pulling pranks on all she knew. She loved to laugh and make others laugh with her. Her stories were fascinating to say the least. She was a beautiful, compassionate soul, a gift to all that knew her. Her smile will be missed by many.

Celeste is survived by her daughter Lisa Gaskell, son Damian, stepson Bryce Rogers, granddaughter Kayla Wright and her fur babies Sydney and Rudy. She is also survived by her sisters Elaine O’Fallon and Debbie Murray (Rick) and brother David Tegg. Also by numerous nieces and nephews: Christy Fitzgerald (Jarod), Shannon, Emmaleigh, Jacob, and Owen; Ryan O’Fallon (Kelly); Andy O’Fallon; Michael O’Fallon (Lisa), Mikaela, Samantha and Hannah; Mandy Tegg and Wes Tegg; Lori Murray, Kassy Elliott, Lia, Julia Elliott, Andrew Elliott and Jen Murray Simmons (Chad) and Celeste’s countless very special friends.

A celebration of Celeste’s fun and never a dull moment life will take place at Anderson Stevenson Wilke Funeral Home at 1:00 pm on Saturday, November 2, 2019, with a reception to follow in the social hall of the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lewis & Clark Humane Society, P.O. Box 4455, Helena, MT 59604. A true friend is a light in the dark. Celeste was that kind of friend; a joy to be with, talk with, laugh with, and work with. I will always miss you Celeste…you have been my light in the dark so many times and I am forever grateful.

Can’t imagine a world without you. Had lost touch since MA Bell Days. Was always thinking about you and remembering all the good times we had . You were the best of the best. Bet you are looking down on us and laughing. You always saw the humor in everything. Bless you my Friend
