Charles John Murray (Chuck) entered the presence of the Lord on Friday March 21, 2014. He lost his fight to lung cancer.
Chuck was born on September 19, 1937 to Harold Cornell Murray and Mary Elizabeth Corney Murray in Dillon, MT. Chuck was the youngest of four boys. After graduating from High School, Chuck served our country as a medic during the reconstruction of Germany. After returning to Helena, MT Chuck worked out at Fort Harrison as an Aide. In the late sixty’s Chuck started working at Super Save. In the eighty’s Chuck worked at Blue Cross Blue Shield as a Medicare claim examiner until he retired in 1994. The Murray’s moved to Billings, MT in 1994.
Chuck and Margaret Ann Mason (Maggie) married on July 6, 1970. With this marriage Maggie brought two children Debbie and Steven. Chuck and Maggie added to their family with the birth of Christian John Murray.
Chuck was a person of deep faith. He and Maggie were very active at the Westside Baptist Church in Billings prior to Maggie’s passing in March of 2012. Chuck returned to Helena after Maggie’s death to be closer to his family and continued his faith at the Hannaford Street Bible Church.
Chuck has now joined his prayer partner Maggie; his parents; and three brothers George, James, and Warren.
Chuck will be sorely missed by his children Christian (Jennifer) Murray; Debbie (Robert) Stokes of Pendroy, MT; and Steven (Amy) Skains; grandchildren Kinleigh and Tatum Murray, Elizabeth Inwood, Rachael Newmiller, Katie Stokes, Meghan Printy-Smith; Mason and Luke Skains; and six great grandchildren.
The Murray Family would like to thank Dr. Weiner and the amazing nurses at the Cancer Treatment Center as well as the Oncology unit for the wonderful care that was provided to Chuck throughout his treatment. We would also like to thank Big Sky Care Center.

I’m so sorry to hear of Chuck’s going home to be with the Lord. Chuck and Maggie were very good friends of mine. They had many holiday dinners with me and my family. My kids really liked them too. I know Chris they were very proud of you. Many prayers are being given for you and your family.
