A couple of year ago I sure had a couple of interesting trips with Chester when I drove him to Arizona for the winter. He entertained me with hours of flying stories which I appreciated more than most since I am also a pilot. Too bad I didn’t know him when he was still flying his Navion, a flight with him would have been educational.

Chet was a great guy and assume aviator I was introduced to the Navion aircraft through Chester Johnson he was inspiration to me to create a TV series relating to stories of what not to do to keep you safe when flying.
I was lucky enough to fly with him in old silver the Navion and spend time with him jawing about aviation. The insperation for Hangar Talk. i moved back to California and we lost touch tried hi cell which did work. RIP Chet I finally own a Navion so you must be keeping the dream alive from heaven, your gone but not forgotten. Miss ya buddy.
