It is with heartfelt sorrow that we announce the passing of Christine Ann Farl Mulitauaopele, a cherished wife, mother, teacher, and beacon of grace, who departed this world on June 28, 2025, at the age of 58.
Born on June 19, 1967, Christine lived a life filled with creativity, compassion, and deep love for her community, family, and friends. She was an avid seamstress, known for crafting handmade cozies, festive stockings, and heartfelt creations she shared at local events like the Farmer’s Market. Her artistry wasn’t just in the fabric—it was in the joy and connection she wove into every piece. Christine also taught sewing, generously passing on her talents and inspiring others to create with confidence.
Christine is lovingly remembered by her husband of 30 years, Tamotu (Motu), and her beloved son, TJ, born in January 2000, who was truly the center of her world. TJ’s charm and warmth brought her endless joy, and her love for him was an infinite bond that will continue until the day they reunite in Heaven.
Guided by faith and a heart for service, Christine participated in multiple missionary trips throughout her life. Her devotion was not only expressed through attendance at church services, but also through her work as a sign language interpreter during worship and sermons—an offering of inclusion and connection that reflected the depth of her belief and the strength of her spirit. She brought the message of hope and love to others with clarity and compassion, and it was a role she cherished deeply.
She was preceded in death by her father, Donald James Farl, and her younger sister, Kimberly Farl, whose memories she carried closely throughout her life. Christine is survived by her mother, Janice Ann (Dan) Shell; her biological father, Don (Carol) Zens; and her siblings: Donald Raymond Farl, Deana (L. Kelly) Deitchler, Jennifer Morrison (Dave Hudson), Carmen Farl, Mary (Tim) Nehls, Joe (Laura) Zens, and Paul (Jamie) Zens. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews—Cooper Morrison, Jonathan Farl, Jamie Mirto, Lewis (Lexi) Deitchler, Travis Deitchler, Tiffany Fattaleh, and Savanna Deitchler—as well as many cherished friends who continue to honor her memory.
A Birthday Party to celebrate Christine’s 58th birthday, will be held on August 1, 2025, from Noon to 10:00 PM at the Helena Fairgrounds, offering family and friends an opportunity to gather, share stories, and honor the light Christine brought to the world.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on August 2, 2025, at Echo Church in Helena, MT, at 11:00 am, where loved ones will gather to celebrate the extraordinary life, she led and the immeasurable love she leaves behind.
Though she may no longer walk beside us, Christine’s spirit remains—radiant, resilient, and forever cherished.

Motu, TJ, and Family-
I’m so sorry for the loss of Christine. I worked with her at the Broadwater when my girls and TJ were littles, and we became friends. It was always nice running into her throughout the years and catching up on our life events. Always kind, always caring, she was a special person that will be greatly missed. Thinking of and sending prayers of comfort to all of you until you meet with her again.
