Connon Odell Walters, age 60, of Dawsonville, Georgia, passed away on September 17, 2025.
Born on January 21, 1965, in Spokane, Washington, Connon was the beloved son of James Randall Walters and Leonette Walters. He spent much of his life in Georgia, where he attended Cherokee County High School and later Reinhardt University, proudly playing on the basketball team during his time there.
Connon will be remembered for his kind and gentle spirit. He had a sharp mind, a quick wit, and a subtle sense of humor that brought smiles to those around him. He found peace in the outdoors and had a true appreciation for nature, often finding joy in its quiet beauty.
He is preceded in death by his father, James Randall Walters (Rebecca Walters); his mother, Leonette Walters; his sister, Randette Walters; his stepsister, Melanie McAllister; and his grandparents, Odell and Dorothy Faye Walters.
He is survived by his stepsister, Rhonda Waller, and brother-in-law, Kevin Waller of Cumming, Georgia; as well as his beloved nieces, Caroline Waller of Alpharetta, Georgia, and Lindsay Waller of Savannah, Georgia.
A private family service will be held at a later date to celebrate and honor Connon’s life.
