Cynthia Lee May, born Jan. 7, 1951, to Robert and Leona “Tootsie” May, passed away September 19, at Deaconess Medical Center in Spokane, WA.
Cindy was born in Havre, MT. at Sacred Heart Hospital. The family also lived in Big Sandy, Sidney, Great Falls, and Helena, MT, and Spokane WA.
She was a mentally challenged person, being institutionalized at the age of 15 at the Warm Springs Hospital. In 1994, she went to Spokane to be nearer to the family. She became a patient at the Eastern State Hospital at Medical Lake, WA. She was a resident at the Carlisle Care Center in Spokane from 2004 until her death.
She liked to sing and play her guitar, read, play the piano, shop and travel. She was preceded in death by her mother Leona, step-sister Lisa Wright, as well as grandparents, step-grandparents, several aunts, uncles and cousins.
She is survived by her father, Robert (Elaine); sisters Gina Mathis, Rebecca Ballotta, Nikki (Matt) Sumner; nephews, Tony (Ashley) Martin, Grady Stinchfield, Avery and Gabe Ballotta, Caleb Sumner; niece, Alisa Sumner; grandniece, Paige Martin; grandnephew, Benjamin Martin, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A family graveside service will be held October 16, at 11:00 A.M. at the Sunset Memorial Gardens, in Helena with Pastor Keith Johnson officiating.
Ball & Dodd Funeral Home of Spokane and Retz Funeral Home of Helena are caring for Cindy’s family.

I remember you when you were younger being in my Sunday School class, always wanted to be active and your presents to be know .
