Dakota Michael Lipp born on April 24, 1999 in Clackamas, Oregon. He tragically left us on November 1, 2024 in Townsend, Montana at the very young age of 25, due to a car accident. Dakota was the beloved son of Shane and Jamie Lipp.
Kota, as he was more commonly known, was a bright shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. His life was one of compassion, caring and love of family, friends and outdoors. His passing has left a void in the hearts of his family, friends and many more whose lives were touched by him.
Kota is survived by his loving parents Shane and Jamie Lipp, his brothers Jason Lipp and Rodger Summers, his sister Shawna Rencehausen and brother-in-law Shane Rencehausen. He was the beloved father of Levi Lipp, Jasmine Lipp and Kimberly Lipp. Kota was the cherished grandson of Gary Lipp, Candace “Candy” Lipp and Yvonne Summers. He also leaves behind several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins who adored him tremendously. Kota is proceeded in death by his grandparents Billie Lipp and Elbert “Rusty” Summers.
Kota was born at Sunnyside Kaiser in Clackamas, Oregon, raised in Fairview and Portland, Oregon before recently moving to Tri-Cities, Washinton where he joined Hungry Generation Church. Kota started working young with having his first job before he graduated from Centennial High School in 2017. Kota has always been a very hard worker and has excelled at every job he has ever had. His last place of employment was his favorite. He got the most pleasure out of fixing things, and making people happy with his work. Kota loved showing off what he could do, he was very proud of that. Kota also loved the fact that he was the fourth generation to do this type of work and learned most of his skills from his dad and grandpa Gary.
Kota will be remembered for his smiling face, cute dimples, twinkle in his eyes, huge laugh, and loving soul. He was a wonderful person not only to be around but in general, because he was always there to help anyone out that he could. All anyone had to do I call any time of day or night and Kota would be there. If you needed to talk, he was up for that too. Kota would have gone to the end of the earth and back for anyone and even further for family. He had a rare gift leaving a lasting impact on all who crossed his path. We ask that you remember him not for the way his life ended, but for the way it was lived, and for the profound impact it had on the lives of those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
