Dale Roger Gamble, age 77, of East Helena, passed away at Rocky Mountain Care Center on June 27, 2021. Dale was born to Paul and Ella Gamble on February 16, 1944, in Billings, Montana.
After graduating from Park County High School in Livingston MT, 1962, Dale joined the Air Force and was stationed on several stateside and foreign bases and was a proud Viet Nam veteran. He retired after serving 21 years in the Air Force as a Special Agent OSI. His work career continued taking him to Washington, Florida and finally back to Montana where he retired from the work force as a Wage and Hour Compliance Officer for the state.
Dale was a member of the Hannaford Bible Church and enjoyed worship services and fellowship there.
Dale is survived by his wife, Nancy of East Helena; children, Michael “Mike” (Eliana) of Natal Rio Garde de Norte, Brazil; Terrill “Terry” (Amber) of Columbia, MO; step-children, Wendy (Dick) Wood, Kellie (Patrick) Stewart, and Duane Kemp all of Livingston, MT and Kari (Mickey) Stockwell of Mountain Home, ID; brother, James (Sara) Gamble of Monticello, FL; sister, Charlotte (Bill) Miller of Harlowton, MT; grandchildren, Jessica (Daniel) Simpson of Plain Dealing, LA, Stephanie (Ian) Phelps of Houston, TX, and Nick (Ashley) Gamble of Shreveport, LA; great-grandchildren, Jayden, Alex and Teddy; favored niece, Leetah (Audie) Stanley; nephews, Wayne (Jessica) Miller and Ross (Marnie) Miller and best friend, Butch Dempster.
Dale is preceded in death by his first wife Darleen, his son Doyle as well as his parents and grandparents.
Memorial service with full military honors is being held at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, July 19th at the Montana State Veterans Cemetery Shelter, 1900 Heroes Road, Fort Harrison. I remember Dale well as an honorable man. We worked together at Malmstrom AFB and occasionally relaxed at a backyard BBQ. I always enjoyed his company.
