I worked at the IR with Dallas and he was always smiling and telling jokes. I just saw him at our little reunion at the former IR building and he was just as I remembered him. My thoughts and prayers are with Marlene and the family.

Dallas was a great influence for me, weather it was hunting, fishing, camping, quilting , canning, building decks or just hanging around the cabin with his coffee cup in hand. He taught me something in all aspects of life, and if he didn’t Marlene did. He would love to listen to Wayne and Mark play guitars and sing, I can remember how his face would light up when the guitars came out. He was such a great grandpa also when we had to work before Deena went to school he would drive to our house and wait down the road to make sure she made it to the bus ok just so she could feel independant.
I will always remember his smile and laugh.
To me he was one of a kind and will always be remembered.
Condolences and prayers for peace for Marlene and family

Uncle Dallas was an amazing man like all the Children of Wallace and Ethel. Some of the best times of my life were riding motorcycles with my Dad and Brother in Law spending time with him, Marlene, and their sons. A vivid memory was how Dally would great us with his cowboy hat, drink in his hand, shorts, and cowboy boots. It was quite a sight! I will miss him.

Uncle Dallas had a wonderful sense of humor. There was so much love with the brothers,I remember that Dad ( brother Jay) would write letters and send audio tapes back and forth with Dallas. There was a birthday card they would send back and forth every birthday for several birthdays. Then of course my favorite story was when I was little Dallas would use black electric tape for my ouchies. Prayers to Aunt Marlene, Mark, Kirby and their families.

It is so sad to see another generation leaving this world. Uncle Dally was definitely one of a kind. My best memory was my trip to Montana over the 4th of July weekend in 1969. I traveled from Bremerton, Washington in my Navy days to spend a once in a lifetime camping trip with the Montana family.
Such a wonderful memory. All of our love to Aunt Marlene, Mark and Kirby. The boys are back together again, one can just imagine the stories being told and the memories being renewed.
