David Eric Flynn, 49, died January 22, 2012 after a short battle with cancer at his home in Helena.

Dave was born October 29, 1962 in Chicago, Illinois to Dr. Alan and Marjorie Flynn. He attended Helena High School and graduated from the University of Montana.

He worked at Intermountain Children’s Home for more than 20 years caring for emotionally disturbed children.

Dave’s interests were varied. He excelled in any subject he undertook with a veracity and onerousness. Painting, piano, composing, geology, theology and history just to name a few subjects he took up as hobby and ended as adept.

Dave wrote and lectured in his spare time and has a worldwide following of his work concerning ancient mysteries religions, illuminated fraternities and Judeo- Christian Theology. His research has been published and referenced by numerous best-selling authors, books and magazines around the world.

David is survived by his wife Brenda, daughter Tyce, son Alex, mother Marjorie, twin brother Mark (Junko), brother Dan (Michele), brother Pat (Brenda), brother Peter (Sarah), nieces Carly, Tyler, Rayna and Aida as well as nephews Mike and Blue. He was predeceased by his father Alan and both sets of grandparents.

A visitation will be held from 12-8 p.m., Sunday, January 29, 2012 at Retz Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service is scheduled at 11 a.m., Monday, January 30, 2012 at the First Assembly of God Church with interment to follow at the Forestvale Cemetery.   1. Never met David, but, felt a kinship to him through our Lord Jesus Christ.
    I believe as he did (does). Personally I rejoice that he was chosen at this time to go home. Maybe God wanted him to sit the great patriarchs and answer some baffling mysteries. =) He lives!!!!!!!!! He will be missed!

  2. I just recently found David Flynn’s work on you tube and googled his name to find his site. I am shocked and saddened to be here at this site. This person was not only amazingly brilliant. He had a humbleness, kindness, gentleness set him head and shoulders from anyone teaching, writing and lecturing on the topics of study that are so critical today. My condolences to his wife and children. My God heal your hearts with his comforting love. Thank you Mr.Flynn for all of your hard work and great efforts, patience and dedication to these time critical issues;.I am sure you know the complete story now and our LORD WANTED YOU HOME..YOU WILL BE GREATLY NISSED..

  3. He is so, so very missed and a huge absence remains that can’t be filled. I want to share this story with you, please. Although I’m an adult, I cried like a baby one Christmas morning several years ago. I had asked for 2 special items that year but knew I would never get them because no one in my family understood what fascinated me and probably silently called me “lunetic fringe”! ha ha. But when I started sharing David’s work with them, bit by bit they came to see that there must be something quite important at hand if a man of David’s intelligence was speaking out on my favorite topics which can seem a little bizarre to the uninformed masses, right? So how shocked was I to open my dad’s gift?? It was exactly what I had asked for: “Cydonia; Secret Chronicles of Mars” (autographed!) AND the “God, Man and ET” conference DVD set! I pray we all rejoice knowing that he is with Jesus and oh my, he has all the answers now! Please God, allow me the privilege to meet my favorite teacher face to face in heaven. Please find strength and take comfort knowing how totally awesome your precious David was… and will always be.

  5. I beleive David Flynn has been a key that unlocked the mysteries that have been waiting for someone to discover and translate them into a message that we could understand.
    There has been genious in history and David was one of them, next to Jean-François Champollion I believe he connected the dots of the heavens to linked them to the mysteries of the earth.

  18. I was blessed to hear David in person at Ancient of Days Conference in Roswell, NM some years ago. His lecture was the highlight of the conference for me. I bought his book “Cydonia”. I will missed him a lot!

  25. I am terribly sorry to hear about Dave. I have a lot of good memories of him, back when he and his brother Mark, and my brother Garth hung out in high school. I also visited with him a little about his research when I first moved back to Helena a few years ago. Dave was a good man with a fine mind and a hilarious sense of humor. He will be missed by all who knew him.

  26. I am so thankful to have known David through his research. He will never be forgotten. He touched many, many lives, most of them people he never met in person. His humble and kind heart reflected his love for Jesus Christ. He was a courageous testament to the Truth of our Lord and Savior. He told me I was his sister in Christ.   28. We never got to meet David in person, but we spent many hours with him on the telephone line. We first learned of David’s remarkable work through a mutual friend (Guy Malone), following David’s presentation in Roswell, NM. Since that time, we had the honor to interview David several times, and he’s always been a favorite for our listeners.

    I also had the privilege to help edit David’s second book (The Temple at the Center of Time), and I can remembering marveling at the scope and depth of his mind! Thank you for sharing your time and talents with us, David. We look forward to meeting you at last when we gather in our Savior’s presence together.

The time is now 3.30 am on wednesday and im uplate surfing the web and researching as i do almost every day. I just went on to red ice radio and couldnt believe what i was reading..it was just last week i was saying to myself that its 2012 now so i think ill review that old David Flynn information that so impressed me when i first saw it several years ago. the mayan calender and mysteries stuff. that video download was one of the best breakdowns on the mysteries that i have ever seen . in fact i dont remember ever seeing a better one. A scholar and a teacher he certainly was and i am blessed by his contribution to the war for truth in these strange times and i would be fortunate if i could emulate some of his qualities which he demonstrated in his time on earth. i am reminded that we are all strangers passing through.let us justify our visit. king james hebrews 11,v13 . best wishes for the family.

  49. I was in shock when I read about David’s death and I cried and then I smiled because I knew he was meeting up with Jesus and it must have been glorious!!!! David so impressed me with his intellect, his great depth of love for God and the truth, for knowledge and his extreme humbleness and sweetness. Now learning he helped emotionally damaged children fits. His book ‘Cydonia” had gotten me in much trouble but I bet the farm on David. Cannot wait to meet up with him to thank him in eternity…..after I get my flying horse.David you ran a great race.

I have all of his books, he was the ONLY one that could break down extremely difficult ancient history into simple understanding. SO-SO sorry and this happened in January.     I was fortunate to have stumbled upon Mr. Flynn’s work a few days ago. What a God send to have so much of the Bible and our history explained in layman’s terms.
    His legacy does live on in all who see and hear him.
    After more than ten yours I pray the Flynn family is well and reconciled about a gift that was returned to his Father.
    I believe God’s grace allowed me to find this obituary to express my appreciation as a fellow seeker of truth.

Today the only person who comes close to his work is one of his friends Tim Albrino.
