David Cecil Harding, 63, passed away Saturday, November 26, 2016 in Helena surrounded by family. David was born in Fairbanks, Alaska on August 20, 1953, son of Dewayne and Clara (McNeely) Harding. David graduated from Helena High School in 1971 and received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Utah in 1979. After graduating he returned to Helena where met his sweetheart Doreen Lynn Michaud. They were married on July 25, 1981. Dave served the Helena community for 37 years working as an insurance agent.
David loved the outdoors and enjoyed every moment he spent there. David held a special place in his heart for “the cabin” where he spent countless fall days enjoying his friends company. He also loved to spend his time on the Missouri or in Alaska fishing. David spent the summers with his family camping and boating at the lake.
David was well known for his compassion towards others. He prepared countless meals for family and friends. He also spent time coaching his son’s sports teams. David was well known for his willingness to drop everything and help anyone in need.
David is survived by his wife, Doreen Harding; his daughter Jessica (Ryan) Lindsay, granddaughters Grace and Ella Lindsay; his son Zachary Harding; his Dad Dewayne Harding; his twin brother Daniel (Elaine) Harding; his sister Sue (Sam) George; his sister Christy (Bruce) Andrews; and various nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Clara Harding.
Friends are asked to join the family for a funeral service on at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday December 10th at Anderson Stevenson Wilke Funeral Home, 3750 N. Montana Ave. A graveside service will follow at Resurrection Cemetery. A reception will follow the graveside service in the social hall at the funeral home. .
