In Memory Of

Dawn VanDerVere

April 9, 1959 – August 9, 2010

Dawn VanDerVere, 51, of Helena, passed away at her home, Monday, August 9, 2010.

Dawn graduated from Helena High School in 1977. She enjoyed cooking and the Culinary Arts. She also loved to go on trips as well as just taking a drive. Dawn liked to crochet, read and go fishing. She especially loved to spend time with her family just doing anything.

Dawn was a member of AA for a while, where she helped others with their struggles in life. She was always quick to lend a smile, a helping hand, a listening ear or to do something silly to get a laugh out of someone.

Her survivors include her longtime partner, Larry Maynard; two sisters, Renee (Chuck) Crawford and Billie Jo KoKoruda; two brothers, Bill (Sandy) KoKoruda and Joe KoKoruda; five nieces, Yvonne Crawford, Alanna Crawford, Caxandra KoKoruda, Sara Cooley and Helen Taffs; two nephews, Ty Cooley and Eric Taffs; and one great niece, Melody Crawford, all of Helena. She is also survived by some extended family from out of state.

Anyone wishing to send memorials can do so to a charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements are under the care of Retz Funeral Home. To offer a condolence to Dawn’s family or to share a memory of Dawn, please visit www.retzfuneralhome.com.

Dawn was as good person as they come, she truly had a heart of gold. We spent many hours sharing tables at Jorgenson’s and JB’s over the years and I am honored to have had her friendship and her confidence. She touched many, many people during her lifetime and she will never be forgotten. God bless, Dawnee!!!
