DeEtta was a wonderful nurse and coworker. Above all else, she was kind, sweet, and patient. She will always be remembered and always missed.

It takes a village to raise our kids and DeEtta was part of Abby’s auxiliary Moms. She stepped in when we were out of town and provided another adult voice when one was needed. Her loss can’t be underestimated to her family and her work family at Fort Harrison. Hugs sent to her girls and grands!

I really enjoyed the time I spent talking with your mom trying to keep you girls out of trouble in High School (So yes we talked quiet a bit) Later we got to talk about all of the great things you have done. I will miss our chats and hope we can keep up with you girls. You will be in our thoughts and prayers

To my beautiful, kind, caring friend I will so miss you! There are people in this world and then there are angels. You my friend were an angel, you came, you gave and you conquered a difficult life with grace, love and resilience. You were quiet in your struggles but always triumphed with your smiles, kindness and perseverance. My admiration for you is endless and your inner strength was more than impressive. You were a Godly woman, a woman of character, loyalty and faith. You loved like no other and gave your family your all. You were born to give and take nothing back in return. Your heart was so good, I didn’t get the last word in so I know you are still with us. Please know I love you forever and will see you again someday with open arms. This earth will miss your kindness, strength and presence to family. Goodbye dear friend, please give Gene Bean a huge for me, I miss him too.

My Dear friend DeEtta, I will miss her. Her warm heart and her infectious smile is something I will never forget. She loved being a nurse, but most of all, being a Mom and a Grandma. She worshiped everyone of you. I remember all of her pictures of her family hung up in her cubicle and how proud she was of each of you. May your memories of her live in your hearts and never forget the abundance of love she had in hers for each of you. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I only knew her for a short time, but she made me feel welcome and her kindness was so very real. She had a Sweet spirit about her that made you smile. She was such an inspiration of strength. She never had a unkind word. She loved serving our veterans. Her desk where she worked will always have an emptiness no one can fill. I appreciate all her advise she sincerely gave. I will miss her greatly. I pray for her family to have strength and peace in this time of sorrow. You’re mother was an example to us all.

I am the oldest of DeEtta’s first cousin. It is a shock to me and my siblings to learn of her death. The weather is an impediment to come from Minnesota. Please know we hold your family in prayer and hope we have an opportunity later this year to share memories of your mother.

DeEtta is my cousin, and I was chosen to be her God Mother, with great joy! We were not close as always separated by miles, but she was always in my prayers and will continue being there. My wish for her is knowing the joy of Heaven and Christ’s love.

  27. Darryl and SuzAnne Severson says

    January 17, 2020 at 10:29 pm

I walked into DeEttas home a total stranger about 20 months ago and left 7 months later feeling totally part of her family. DeEtta opened her home to me as though I was family from day one. I knew Gene for 25 years or more, meeting him when we both worked in the oil field in northeastern Montana back in the early eighties. My mom has passed and DeEtta became like a second mom to my wife and we all helped each other through trying times with Colbys passing. Im really sad I didnt make it back up there before now DeEtta was a Angel in this world. To her daughters and grand children you all became a part of our life also and we have much love for all of you. GOD BLESS SINCERELY Darryl and SuzAnne Severson
