Delores “Dee” Ann George, age 73, passed away December 24th, 2018, at her home in Helena, surrounded by loved ones, after a courageous fight with cancer.
Delores was born to Sylvia and Frank Moxum, March 2, 1945, in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. She met and married the love of her life, Francis when she was just 14 years old at Kenmore, Washington. Together with Francis, they raised 4 very spirited boys. They were married almost 50 years, when an illness took Francis in 2008, leaving her a widow.
Delores worked hard her whole life and retired from Wendy’s in 2015. She loved her family, friends, camping, playing cards, baking, football (most importantly, her beloved Washington Redskins), Waylon Jennings and her dog and ever close companion, Bella.
Delores is survived by her sons; Leo (Cindi), Jerry (Becky), Bob (Marlene), Mike and 2 “honorary sons” Robby Tienhaara and the late Pat Goyins; 5 Grandchildren: Amanda, Shannon, Cody, Casey and Brittaney; and 4 Great Grandchildren; Nolan, Gage, Justin and Elias; as well as, numerous brothers and sisters in laws and nieces and nephews.
Our family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Weiner and his wonderful caring staff of nurses and to St. Peters Hospice who made the journey with her as painless and bearable as possible, in our difficult time. We would also like to thank Raelene Kemner and Ginny George for their companionship, dedication and devotion they showed toward Dee.
A celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 11, 2019 at Anderson Stevenson Wilke Funeral Home, 3750 N. Montana Ave., with a reception to follow in the social hall of the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials in honor of Delores are suggested to Hospice of St. Peter’s Health, c/o St. Peter’s Health, 2475 Broadway, Helena, MT 59601. Leo & Cindi, Gerry & Becky, Bob & Marlene, Mike, and Dee’s grandchildren, you have lost a wonderful Mother, Grandmother, and role model! I am so sorry! Delores became my sister when I was 6 years old. I loved her so much! Fly high my beautiful sister, I know Fran and the rest of the family were waiting with open arms to welcome you to your Heavenly home!

My deepest love and sympathy to my 4 wonderful nephews and families! Dee became my sister when I was nine, that was 60 yrs. ago! I have nothing but the best memories of anything we were involved in together. She worked hard, her home and her family were the happiness of her life. She always had time to bake, never went to her house without treats being ready! We worked together in our younger years and she always made the job fun. Dee will be so missed by all of us but, her suffering has ended and she now has joined Fran in paradise!

Leo, Jerry, Bob, and Mike: Sending my thoughts and prayers to you and your families. Delores always was so kind to me and took the time to visit when we had a chance encounter. I remember so many wonderful times visiting and playing cards with your parents and alway felt welcome. She was the best darn employee at Wendy’s and I loved seeing her many times over the years.
May you be comforted by the love of family and friends and all the wonderful memories of your beautiful, loving, and spirited Mom. God Bless.

Have many wonderful memories of Dee and Frannie especially in the 70’s while living in Helena. They always opened their home and I remember our mutual love of mashed potatoes! My sympathies to family and friends for the loss of Dee’s beautiful being.
