In Memory Of

Dennis L. Brannman, age 72, of Helena

October 9, 1946 – April 20, 2019

Dennis Lee Brannman was born October 9, 1946 in Townsend, Montana. He died from complications of Alzheimer’s at the age of 72 at Rosetta Assisted Living in Helena, Montana.  Dennis was a beloved husband, father and grandfather.

Dennis was the oldest son of Harry and Pearl Brannman. His brother Brian was born when Dennis was 10 years old.  The family lived in many places because they were a Navy family, including Townsend, San Diego, Japan, and Hawthorne, Nevada where he graduated from high school and met his wife, Leslie Page.

After graduating high school in 1964, Dennis joined the Navy. He spent his first year in nuclear sub training in Idaho. He then transferred to the engine room and was trained as a boiler plant engineer. The rest of his career was working as a boiler plant engineer at the base in Hawthorne, NV and at Fort Harrison in Montana. He also worked on the Naval base in Adak, Alaska from 1990-1993. He then came back to Fort Harrison and retired at the age of 55.

Dennis married Leslie Page on September 30, 1967. They were married at Leslie’s house. Dennis was on leave from the navy, he was so nervous that he broke out in hives! Dennis and Leslie had 3 daughters; Dawn, Teri and Kristie.  They moved to Helena in 1972 and lived and raised their children mostly in Helena.

In 1974, Dennis joined the Catholic Faith, which became the cornerstone of his life. He was actively involved in the Cursillo movement, attended a weekly men’s Bible study for many years and was also a Third Degree Knight of Columbus.  He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, watching the Broncos and cooking.

Dennis is survived by Leslie, Dawn and Kristie (John); grandsons Daniel, Curtis and Walker; and brother Brian. The family would like to thank Rosetta Assisted Living for all the care and love they gave Dennis during his final years.

We love you and will miss you. We look forward to being with you and Teri in the presence of our Lord and Savior.

    Dear Family
I’m sorry for your loss and I pray for your comfort. Please keep in mind that our Heavenly Father and God promises he will resurrect those who are sleeping in death. ( John 5:28,29) This means they will come back to life and we will see them again.

Until that day comes, look to Jehovah God for comfort ( 2 Corinthians 1:3,4) He will never fail you.

I was stationed in Adam from 1990 to 1991. When I arrived, I was assigned to the heat shop and put to work for Dennis. He was incredibly knowledgeable and very meticulous. I have never learned as much about my job from any one, as much as I did from Dennis. Sorry to hear about his passing. Loved working for him and meeting Leslie and the rest of the family. Thank you Dennis for taking me under your wing!
