Diana Annette Bruce passed away peacefully Sunday morning October 1, 2017 at the age of 92. Diana Moore was born November 8, 1924 in North Dakota, daughter of Grant & Edla Moore. Her family moved to Glasgow, Montana where her father was the Methodist Minister. She attended college at Montana State University. Diana met Kenneth Bruce when he returned from his service in the Army Air Corp during WWII. She said it was love at first sight. Diana’s father officiated their marriage ceremony on September 14, 1947. They raised three children in Glasgow: Barbara McGuire, Sharon Williams and Duane (Dewey) Bruce.
Diana was active in the Glasgow community, loved family and was a wonderful friend to all she met. Diana worked at Mountain Bell Telephone in Glasgow until they moved to Santa Maria, California in 1969. There she continued her work as a dispatcher and retired from General Telephone. She was a beautiful quilter and longtime member of the Quilters Guild. Ken & Diana enjoyed their retirement in California; riding bicycles on the beach, flying, and taking Montana friends on sightseeing trips.
Diana and Ken relocated to Vancouver, Washington to live by their daughter Barbara McGuire and son-in-law Ray Collins in 2002. Diana’s husband of 62 years preceded her in death in 2008; at which time Diana moved to Denver, Colorado to live with her daughter Sharon Williams and son-in-law Stan. In 2011 Diana moved to Helena, Montana to live by her son Duane Bruce, daughter-in-law Nancy, family and friends.
Preceding Diana in Death are her husband Kenneth, parents Grant and Edla Moore, brother Dale Moore, sister Doris Carlson, brother-in-law’s Clifford Culver, James Wilson and son-in-law Keith McGuire. Diana is survived by children, Barbara (Ray Collins), Sharon (Stan) Williams and Duane “Dewey” (Nancy) Bruce. Five grandchildren, Shawn (Ellika) McGuire, Holly (Derek) Shride, Stephanie (Geoff) Higgins, Matt (Julie) Peterson and Matthew (Becca Baily) Mahlum. Nine great grandchildren, Emelia, Jack, Hailey, Carson, Belle, Lily, Krystian, Kennedy, and Mirra.
Diana was kind, compassionate, taught us love and gave us strength. Her smiles and hugs would light up the world and her love will be in our hearts forever. The family would like to express their appreciation to the people at Rosetta Assisted Living, St. Peter’s Hospice for their wonderful care of our Mother. We would also like to thank Paulette Etchart-Satre for being such an incredible friend to us and Mom’s “third Daughter”.
In lieu of flowers please donate to the Glasgow High School Scholarship Fund, St. Peter’s Hospice or the Alzheimer Association. Please visit below to offer a condolence to the family or to share a memory of Diana.

Diane Boley says
I periodically check the Glasgow Courier’s Obituary page. I was saddened to read about Diana! I used to babysit the Bruce children: Barbie, Sharon, and Duane! What wonderful memories I have of Kenny, Diana, and the three children! In fact, when Diana’s father baptized Duane, my mother Bobbie Boley and I were the witnesses! The story is that Duane was named for my father Duane Boley! They lived next door to use before they moved a block away! Prayers are sent to Barbie, Sharon, and Duane!
