Dianna J. Hall, age 75, of Helena, passed away December 20, 2022.
Dianna “Dana” was born on February 26th, 1947 in Blackfoot, ID to Keith and Emma Hansen. She grew up in humble circumstances on a ranch in Challis, ID and later off the North Fork of the Salmon River with her 8 siblings. She loved to play with her siblings on the ranch and loved learning. To finish school her mother and several siblings moved to Stevensville, MT. She graduated Salutatorian of her 1966 class. She attended University of Oregon medical school and obtained her AS in radiology.
After graduating, Dana married her high school sweetheart, Harry Hall, March 22nd, 1969, in Stevensville. They moved to Denton, then Twin Bridges for Harry’s teaching and coaching. After adopting their daughter, Sheri, in 1974, they moved to Townsend. Soon after they found out she was pregnant, and Brian was born June 24, 1975. She loved her children with all her heart.
Throughout her life she worked as an x ray technician, home health aide, bookkeeper and lastly as the WIC officer and assistant with Broadwater County Health services. She retired from work in 2015. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She served in various callings in the ward and stake levels. She loved working with the Young women and said her most challenging calling was that of Relief Society President.
The most cherished moment of her life came on July 17th, 1982 when her family was Sealed in the Idaho Falls temple. Mom spent her life learning the gospel and had many markings in scriptures and in books that she read. She was always helping and serving those around her, especially her family. She always thought of their needs above her own. She loved to cook and do little knick knacks with her grandchildren and great-granddaughter. She actively scrapbooked, often making sure family would send her pictures to keep up with all that was happening in her family’s lives.
She’ll be deeply missed by all who knew her. She suffered a massive stroke on December 17th and went to live with her heavenly father on the 20th surrounded by her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 4 sisters and 2 brothers. She is survived by siblings LInda (Hans), Randy and Gary (Betty); her husband, Harry Hall; daughter Sheri (Lony); son Brian (Mandi); Grandchildren Kylie, Hannah, Molly and Brock; and Great granddaughter Madison.
Dianna will be laid to rest at the Deep Creek Cemetery in Townsend.

I was one of the young women Dana worked with. She wrote a poem for me at a time I was struggling. I still have it. As it meant a lot to me. I am so sad to hear of her passing. Love and hugs to Sheri, Brian, and Coach Harry Hall.

We are sorry to the loss of such a beautiful, loving, kind and wonderful woman. Though we know she is in heaven in a better place, partying it up with Christ; it does not make the loss of her presence here on earth any less painful or hard. Please know we love you Harry and are sending our thoughts and prayers to you and yours. May we remember Dana and celebrate the amazing life she lived and the impact she made not only for the kingdom but on our lives and hearts.
