Dolores assisted with the family farm operation alongside her husband and always prepared delicious meals and desserts for the farm hands. In their early years together Matt and Dolores spent several Saturday nights dancing and Dolores always enjoyed a competitive game of bowling.
Matt and Dolores were blessed with four daughters. She was a talented seamstress, sewing many of her daughters’ clothes for several years. She also embroidered many items which she gave as gifts. She truly loved her family and especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren, who were her pride and joy. She always looked forward to entertaining family gatherings at her home with a wide variety of baked goods. She had fond memories of sewing, baking, raising chickens, gardening, canning and making jelly.
Dolores loved playing cards and bingo with many of her friends, who were just as dear to her as her family. Dolores was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Altar Society, American Legion Auxiliary, bowling league and a 4-H leader.
