Dominick Rae Davis was born July 15, 2002 prematurely in Trier, Germany at 26 weeks, weighing 2 pounds, and 13 inches in length. Dominick was followed in birth by his best friend and identical twin brother, Christian. They were inseparable, and when they moved back to Montana they met their cousin, Brailynn, and from that day forward they became known as “The Triplets” since Brailynn was born just 8 hours before Domnick and Christian. “The Triplets” did just about everything together, and there was always plenty of laughter between them.
One of Dominick’s many qualities was his extremely contagious smile and laughter, no matter the circumstances. Some of the things that made Dominick’s smile even bigger was playing sports. Dominick was actively involved in wrestling, cross country, track, and baseball. As odds were stacked against him and Christian, being born prematurely, it added into their competitiveness.
Their competitiveness made both of them strive to do their best, and everything Dominick did was out of the goodness of his heart. His heart was full of love for dirt biking, hunting, fishing, going to the gym, playing video games, and bowling. Everytime the family went out, Dominick would always say, “Do you think I need to bring my bowling ball,” which became a running joke within the family. More inside jokes came from the fact that Dominick could be heard before you could see him due to the volume of his speakers. Another running joke with wrestling was “Snickers” as Dominick was always found with a snicker bar and often had to run laps on the way to the wrestling meets to make weight. Dominick would even laugh as he ran those laps.
Dominick had an obsession for loud music, and always had a new song to show you every time you saw him. His other passion included his dream car, his beautiful 1996 Toyota 4Runner, which he spent countless hours upgrading, bragging about, and sitting in there jamming out to music. Dominick could spend endless hours doing many things, but he spent most of his time with his family. Family was the most important thing in Dominick’s life. It takes a village to raise a child, and it took all of Dominick’s family to raise not only him, but his many cousins.
He had such a beautiful heart and smile that only grew the more you knew him. One of the things he was most proud of was serving his country. He was an outstanding NCO. A goofy personality when the time was right but nonetheless an amazing leader and teacher to all. His years of service and time spent in the military never went unnoticed. Always a squared away soldier who put 100% into everything he did. Dedicating 4 years of his life to the Army National Guard along with 9 months spent deployed overseas. He was irreplaceable and will be missed by everyone that had the chance to meet him.
Dominick is survived by his parents Curt and Brittany Davis, twin brother Christian, sister Shelby, younger brother Gabe; Grandparents Papa (Mike) and Gramma (Virginia) DeMers, Glen and Gloria Davis; Great Grandma, Jeanette Smith; Aunts Brandy (Alex Rintamaki), Brooks (Jeff Rudolph), Uncle Mike Davis (Pam) and Greg Nichols (April), 1st Cousins Brailynn DeMers, Kylar Rintamaki, Korbin Rintamaki, Jace Rudolph, Kimber Rintamaki, and Joe (Skyler)Davis, Twila Davis, and Tanner Davis. Several other cousins, friends he considered brothers, and his military family.
Dominick is preceded in death by his Aunt Melissa Davis and his grade school best friend Caleb Allen. Both of which have left us way too soon.
Services are Monday, April 28th at 10 AM at the South Hills Baptist Fellowship, 12 Johns Street, Montana City, MT.
