Dear Val and Family,
I was sad to hear of Eleanor’s passing. She was my sister in law.I was married to her brother Gary Lee Hanson. He died August 3, 2003. She was so nice to me and my family. I loved her like a sister. I will miss her.
All my love, Linda

Eleanor was my grandson’s great grandma. That is how I met her. She was one of sweetest ladies I have ever met. She was always so nice to me. We would run into each other at the store and spend several minutes chatting. I was saddened when I heard she had passed away. I will miss not seeing her and talking. Heaven has gained a very special lady. She was so kind.

Val and Family:
Sorry to hear about Eleanor’s passing. She always treated me, Julie and Myles with kindness and was happy to stop and chat whenever we ran into her in town or stopping by your place to chat. Seems like we ran into her often all over town where she was out volunteering to help others. Will miss seeing her. Val – take care and if you need anything don’t hesitate to ask.

Val and family,
I am so sorry and saddened to hear of Eleanor ‘s passing. I so enjoyed volunteering with her at Helena Food Share, especially doing mobile pantry together. We were always each other’s “other Eleanor”. We had such a great time together and she was always so nice, gracious and friendly to everyone. We will all miss her terribly. You are all in my prayers.
Helena Food Share says
All of us at Helena Food Share are very saddened by Eleanor’s passing. Our hearts and condolences go out to Val, to her family and to all those in the community who knew and loved her. Eleanor was amazing in so many ways, but her ability to make all our customers feel so welcomed was her biggest asset. You would not know when listening to her if she was talking to a customer, volunteer, or the mayor– all folks were treated with the same respect. Eleanor’s care for others transformed so many lives.

Eleanor was a real pistol. I loved working and laughing with her at Helena Food Share. She didn’t take herself – or life -too seriously but clearly was a believer in kindness, respect and understanding. She was unflinchingly generous of spirit. I feel great sadness at her passing and will miss her. I suspect she is keeping souls on their toes out in the great beyond, and I look forward to bumping into her spirit when my time comes.

I am so sorry for the loss of your loved one, Eleanor. She was my first boss at State Fund, and we have been friends since 1983. I will miss her greatly.
