Elizabeth Anne ‘Kasey’ Reece, age 54, of Deer Lodge, passed away September 21, 2019 in Missoula, MT.
Kasey was born on September 10, 1965 in Daytona Beach, FL., to Douglas Van Ormer and Nancy Anne (Gerbracht) Trudell.
Kasey worked as a waitress, a bartender and a caregiver until a stroke in 2002. Her sense of humor, infectious smile, and heart of gold brought joy to everyone she knew.
Kasey loved and cared for anything with animals. She was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church and the Tri Peaks Club. She enjoyed creating colorful art online and sharing her sense of humor.
Kasey is survived by her mother, Nancy A. (Rick) Trudell; father, Doug Van Ormer; sister, Kathy Hamilton; nephew, Chayce Lamping; and nieces, Emily Griffiths and Jessie Griffiths.
A Celebration of Kasey’s Life is scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 5, 2019 at Anderson Stevenson Wilke Funeral Home, 3750 N. Montana Ave. with a reception to follow the service at the Moose Lodge #639, 4750 N. Montana Ave. In Lieu of flowers, donations in Kasey’s name are suggested to be made to the Lewis and Clark Humane Society, P.O. Box 4455, Helena, MT 59604 (lchsmontana.org).
