Our beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister and friend was called home to our Heavenly Father on the cold and snowy day of Feb. 28, 2014. She was born in Lehi, Utah to Bertha Shaw and Harold Charter Hindley on June 25, 1919. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; serving in various callings. She married Raymond R. Reisbeck on June 10, 1939 in Farmington, Utah. Mother loved music and loved to dance! She was quite the dancer in her day, as all the men lined up to dance with her; never lacking for a date. She was a very proud graduate of Davis High School and a member of the Proscola marching team. As a teen, she worked for Lagoon as a head cashier. Mother’s main occupation, after marrying, was Homemaker. She cooked, (and boy could she cook!!) cleaned, gardened, attended PTA meetings, Church meetings and was a voter registration clerk. All while keeping three children in line, as our Father was a truck driver and gone for weeks at a time. During WWII, Mother worked at the Remington Arms Plant as an ammunition inspection supervisor in Salt Lake City. Always keeping busy, she obtained her Real Estate License, just because she wanted to do it. She went to work for the Salt Lake City Police Dept. as a meter maid. Just for one day, as my Father would not approve of her working. Her beautiful flowers would attest to her gardening skills. She could take a small branch from a rose bush and cultivate it into the most exquisite Sterling Silver rose bush. Neighbors marveled at her ability to do this. Our home was always supplied with freshly baked cakes, cookies and pies, not to mention a daily scrumptious home cooked meal. Her brother in law commented he had traveled the world over and never tasted a Lemon pie as good as hers. It was not uncommon for us to have an extra place setting at the table; usually one of our friends. Always encouraging us to do our very best and to never give up; to route for the underdog and to be selfless and giving to others less fortunate than our selves. She taught us to be honest in all of our dealings, to care for others and above all else, to love the Lord! She was awarded the Independent Record Mother of the Year in 2013. Mother loved many things, but her greatest love was her family and the unconditional love she had for them. She loved to have dinners and just be with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Captain Bernard Cain; husband, Raymond and five sisters and two brothers. She is survived by her sons, Gerald R. (Sheila) of Helena and Dixon P. (Judy) Layton, UT; daughter, Lynda A., Helena and brother, H. Dixon Hindley of Salt Lake City. She is also survived by 15 Grandchildren, 25 Great Grandchildren and 7 Great Great Grandchildren.
Our precious, precious Angel Mother…. No words can ever express our love, gratitude and devotion we have for you! We love you the most!! Until we meet again.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Lynda, you and I spoke many times about your mother and your relationship with her. You spoke of her with love and concern and respect. You laughed over some of her little quirks, but always conveyed to me how much you loved her. Please hold on to the good memories and let them give you peace in the days and months ahead. My thoughts and prayers are with you in this difficult time. Patty Marcil

Lynda Reisbeck and family,
We were saddened to hear of your Mother’s passing. We never did meet her, but listening to some of your stories about her we could tell she was quite a lady. It was wonderful you were able to have her near and enjoy your time together. We know you have lots of memories and will think of her often.
